Hello fans! We've been extremely quiet over the past few months... so what have we been up to? Well, we've gotten married!! We've planned a French wedding! And we've been coming up with all sorts of new ideas to launch later in the year. For now, we are very sadly going to move on from DIMANCHE. We will still keep the page open... but for now, DIMANCHE will be on hiatus due to us working on new ideas. We will still consider bookings, but will be unfortunately limiting them only to Saturday nights and Sundays (sorry!!) Please stay in touch though! And thanks for all your amazing support. We had a few cool challenges set for us as well... a poem at the beginning of each course and cook up the homegrown baby vege's freshly picked from Yings garden. Thank you so much to Ying and his wonderful family and friends for allowing us to share in the birthday celebrations.

Here's a dandy recipe we like to call "Easy Peazy Pasta"

Got some last minute guests coming over? Or need a super duper quick meal for your little munchkin? This recipe rocks. 4 ingredients. 1 pot.

Boil pasta and add salt to the boiling water for taste - ANY PASTA! For our 2yo we like to use risoni, but fettucine, spaghetti, angel hair, bowties... they're all good and suitable for this recipe.

Chop 2 cloves of garlic (or more depending on how much you love garlic!) into small tiny pieces. Chop 10-15 mushrooms (use a medley if you're brave - button, cups, flat, portabella or swiss brown, all available at local stores) into small tiny pieces.

CHOPPING TIP: use a sharp knife on a small board, chop from left to right, spin the board 45 degrees and repeat! continue until garlic and mushrooms are like tapenade.

Drain the pasta and leave the cooked pieces in a sieve. Place olive oil in the pan and return to the heat. Add the garlic and allow the garlic to sizzle for 1 min, stirring occasionally so as not to burn. Add the mushrooms and cook for another minute or so.

Turn off the heat, add the pasta, give it a good stir et voila!

Quail: the breast slow cooked and finished in butter, the legs braised in red wine sauce and hay.
Some roasted heirloom baby carrots, grains and seeds, wood fire grilled black fig and hay espuma!!

Thought we'd start with a SUPER easy recipe to jazz up a plain dish... WASABI CREAM!

1 x 250g tub of Philadelphia cheese (light or full - its all good!)
1/2 x 250g tub of crème fraiche or sour cream
1 x tube of wasabi (all Asian stores will sell this)

Place a small pot over a low heat
Add the Philly cheese
Add the crème fraiche or sour cream
Stir until nearly melted
Add the wasabi to taste (start with 1/2 tsp and keep adding small quantities until its just the right amount to handle)
Stir until dissolved

This cream is AMAZING with salmon, white fish, tuna salads, roast chicken, roasted potatoes, as a dip... endless possibilities :)
