I live by the bush in Sydney Australia with my husband Ben, two beautiful girls and two big floppy house rabbits. Creativity runs through my blood, I adore to working with my hands I sew, paint, draw, write, design, make, and I love to mend things. I adore animals and my childhood dream was to live in Australia. I strongly believe that if you want something enough then you should buckle down until

you achieve it. My favourite colour is red; I am a quirky and colourful character who loves to embellish everything with flowers, buttons, ribbons etc anything that takes my fancy really. I believe that you should dress well every day for yourself and no one else because you should be proud of yourself and the image that you project to the world. I write, illustrate, draw, I have created and published books because I am insanely happy when I am creating and when I see that I have touched another it warms my heart. Fun Fact: I travelled the whole coast of Australia with Ben in a clapped out VW van with flames painted up the side, we picked fruit to fund our trip and it was the most amazing experience of my life.

The book Australian Animal Walkabout surprised me yesterday.
As I walked past, I spotted it in a prime position in a beautiful book shop in Barangaroo.
For those of you who don’t know I own a barbershop in Barangaroo called Barberoo.Australia so the very first book that I illustrated is sitting for sale across the road from my new business venture. So happy!! 😁😁😁💇🏻‍♂️💈📚🦋

Our Australian Animal Walkabout book, has begun another very special Walkabout journey which will take it to bookstores and shops all over Australia.
I dropped 1000 books off to Peribo’s distribution centre this morning only to find that they have already pre-sold over 250 copies.

I’m completely terrified of sharing this, as I’m sure will become very apparent when you watch it. I’m doing it because hiding and trying to fit in when you were born to stand out, eventually leads to debilitating depression, I’m doing it for the kids who are experiencing these feelings for the first time and I’m doing it for the adults who feel it most days.

I’ve been testing out my new Lioness story book on my friends and so far out of the six people I have read it to, five of them seem to have got something stuck in their eyes half way through me reading it to them. They have then asked “when can buy it”?
Mind blown!!! I better go and get on with those illustrations then 😊xx

I realised that I hadn't fully explained my Big News!!!! 🏆 so here it goes. I took home bronze in the Networking Excellence category at my very first AusMumpreneur awards which was held in Sydney. With over 1000 entrants from businesses all across Australia 🇦🇺for the various awards. I was shocked and super excited to be awarded third prize for my illustration and children's book publishing businesses. Judging was held in front of a panel on Thursday and announced at a beautiful dinner on Friday night. It was a wonderful experience, I made lots of wonderful new friendships and learnt so much from other successful business women who are also juggling both family and business. 😘🥂⭐️🏆so much fun!!!! I guess it is time to get back to reality now 😁xx

I won third place for Networking Excellence last night at the AusMumpreneur awards. I'm absolutely thrilled, I wasn't even going to fill in the application for this award when my nomination came through as I thought that my business was not worthy. I have been quivering with excitement for two days learning new things and meeting the beautiful Ausmumpreneur family. I have crossed so many scary bridges in the last month but look where it has got me. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me. 🌹🌹❤️❤️😊😁😆xx

One more sleep until the AusMumpreneur Awards, my interview is tomorrow and the red carpet presentation is on Friday. I'm feeling very nervocited!! I cannot wait to finally meet Karen Weaver and give her huge real life hug in place of the virtual hugs that we normally exchange. Also I'm excited about meeting all of the amazing Ausmum's who are based all over Australia who have supported and encouraged me in business every step of the way since I joined the group eight months ago.
Two big full days of learning, networking and partying 🥂👗🍾🏆xx

Book number four is heading off to print. So exciting!!! I am on such a fun filled and exciting journey at the moment. I had a phone call from my Grandfather in the UK last night asking me where and earth I had got to in the last month. Well I have started and finished my forth book, I have been running illustration courses for primary school's, set up a new business, I have organised and run a book launch event and I am a finalist for a prestigious AusMumpreneur award in which I will attend a conference, be interviewed for the award and attend a red carpet event. In the meantime all four of us have had flu, we have celebrated my daughters 8th birthday and both of my daughters have attended school camp. Wow! this month has flown by. ✈️🎁🏕😷🏆🎫📚🎈

I feel so deeply honoured and excited to be an AusMumpreneur Network excellence finalist. I cannot wait for the conference and red carpet event next week, not only for what I will learn and who I will meet but also, I will get to be in the same room as my fellow Ausmumprener, friend and business partner Karen McDermott the for the very first time. We met through the Ausmumprener network this year and we have created four children's books and a thriving business together via internet and phone ! 😊x

I have been causing havoc this morning with Novella Fine Books, in celebration of Love Your Bookshop day. We had the lovely girls and boys from the Ryan Academy of Irish Dance come down the road this morning to show off their fabulous dancing skills in celebration of the release of our book "Irish Dancing Girl". I had a sleepless night last night, in anticipation of the book illustration workshop that I am running for a class of thirty 7 to 10 year olds today. eek!
I'm very excited! The school are putting on a special lunch for the children, they had to go into a draw to win a place in the workshop.
I walked into the school yesterday for a planning meeting and I was almost bowled over by all the excited children trying to speak to me. I love children they are so wonderfully joyful. 😊x
