Hurry up - to lodge your sc485 before you come under new changes--

Changes to the Temporary Graduate visa program – proposed 1 July 2024
Graduate Work stream-- Applicants must hold an associate degree, diploma or trade qualification closely related to their nominated occupation on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).

Applicants with a degree level qualification or higher will no longer be eligible for this stream. If an applicant holds one of these qualifications, they must apply through the Post-Higher Education Workstream.

Post-Study Work stream--- The maximum eligible age for Post-Higher Education Workstream applicants will be reduced to 35 years of age or under. Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders will continue to be eligible, provided they are under 50 years of age.

Bachelor's degree (including honours) – up to 2 years
Masters (coursework and extended) – up to 2 years
Masters (research) and doctoral degree (PhD) – up to 3 years.

NSW Government updates criteria for Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) Pathway 1 applicants were required to have been living and working in the area of NSW for at least 12 months. Now Due to industry feedback, the NSW government reducing this requirement to 6 months

Attention students and graduates applying for visas in Australia! Starting 23 March 2024, there are important updates to English proficiency requirements:

📚 Student Visas:
Minimum IELTS score for Student visas rises from 5.5 to 6.0.
For packaged ELICOS courses, the required score is now 5.0, up from 4.5.
Recognized university foundation/pathway program students need IELTS 5.5. Check the Department’s website for approved courses.
No changes for students solely taking ELICOS.

🎓 Temporary Graduate Visas (TGV):
IELTS score requirement increases to 6.5, with at least 5.5 in each test component.
Hong Kong and BNO passport holders: The requirement remains at IELTS 6.0, with a 5.0 minimum in each component.
The test validity period for TGV applications is now one year.
