Our Unforgettable Antarctic Adventure! 🐧❄️

From December 4th to 15th, 2024, we embarked on an epic 12-day expedition cruise to Antarctica with Hurtigruten, starting and finishing in Buenos Aires. This was an adventure like no other, filled with breathtaking scenery, incredible wildlife, and experiences that will stay with us forever!

We set sail on the luxurious MS Roald Amundsen, a hybrid-powered vessel specially built for polar expeditions. Our journey began in Buenos Aires, followed by an exciting flight to Ushuaia, Argentina – the southernmost city on Earth – where our adventure truly began.

Our days in Antarctica were filled with awe-inspiring moments, from the immense glaciers and icebergs to spotting penguin chicks! 🐋🐧 Whether kayaking among icebergs or learning about climate change from experts on board, every day offered something new and thrilling.

The highlights?

- Incredible wildlife: Penguins, seals, and whales in their natural habitat.
- Magical landscapes: Massive icebergs, glaciers, and the vast, silent expanse of Antarctica.
- Sustainable travel: A journey aboard a hybrid-powered ship designed for polar waters.
- Educational experiences: Engaging lectures, citizen science programs, and photography tips to help capture the wonders of Antarctica.

Unforgettable Norfolk Island Adventure 🌲

We recently from an incredible 8-day journey to the magical Norfolk Island, where history, natural beauty, and unique culture came together in a truly remarkable experience!

On the 10th of November, a group from Warrawee Probus set off on an unforgettable journey to Lord Howe Island, guided by our wonderful tour guide, Debbie. The 6-night adventure was packed with stunning scenery, activities, and local insights!

What a fantastic journey we had earlier this month with the lovely members of the Coonara-Cherrybrook Probus Club, who recently enjoyed a private tour to the stunning Cook Islands. Guided by our wonderful tour leader, Lesley, the group explored the pristine beauty and vibrant culture of this Pacific paradise.

From relaxing on white sandy beaches to experiencing the rich traditions and warm hospitality of the locals, this tour was truly one to remember.

Let's go to Cambodia! As many of you may know, my family has had over a decades worth of experience living and running charities in Siem Reap. We are now doing an 11 day small group tour in February 2025 to visit the highlights of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap including the Killing Fields museum which showcases the history of the Khmer Rouge, through to immersive volunteer work at a primary school my father founded back in 2014. Be enchanted by the history of these amazing Khmer people and their world heritage Angkor Wat temples. Dine on inexpensive, healthy, delicious meals followed by glorious spa treatments. Murray River Adventure – Day 1 & 2 Highlights!

Our group has embarked on an amazing journey from Sydney to Adelaide, kicking things off with a delicious waterfront lunch at the Sir Stamford Hotel, exploring Glenelg, and touring Adelaide’s beautiful beaches and city sights.

After a warm welcome aboard the MV Proud Mary, they set sail down the iconic Murray River for five nights of scenic cruising. Yesterday’s highlights included a historical tour of Mannum, a stop at the fascinating Mannum Dock Museum, and an evening of Australiana Night with native bush foods and a nocturnal wildlife tour.

DARWIN & KAKADU NORTHERN ESCAPE - Days 1 to 4 Highlights!

Day 1: We arrived in Darwin, enjoyed a city tour, and settled into the Doubletree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin.

Day 2: Explored the Darwin Military Museum, Botanic Gardens, and Chinese Museum. Ended the day with a stunning sunset dinner cruise around Darwin Harbour.

Day 3: Visited Fogg Dam and enjoyed a thrilling Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Explored ancient rock art at Nourlangie and relaxed at Cooinda Lodge in Kakadu.

Day 4: Started with a magical sunrise cruise on Yellow Water, visited the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, and ended the day in Katherine with a visit to Pine Creek and Mayse’s Café.

We’re having an amazing time and can’t wait to share more of our adventure!

We returned from our winter escape to the Cook Islands last Saturday. Here are some highlights from our unforgettable trip 🌺

Day 1: Arrival, ukulele workshop, brewery tour, dinner by the waterfront.

Day 2: Punanga Nui Market, Maire Nui Tropical Gardens, Polynesian Village show.

Day 3: Church service, Muri Night Markets.

Day 4: Island tour, sunset dinner adventure.

Day 5: School visit, swimming, snorkeling, Progressive Dinner.

Day 6: Free day for optional tours and shopping, dinner at Rickshaw Rarotonga.

Day 7: Lagoon Cruise, final dinner at Tamarind House.

Farewell to an Unforgettable Journey - Red Centre & Field of Light Tour 🌄

Our incredible adventure through the heart of Australia has been a memorable one, from remarkable landscapes to unforgettable experiences. Here are some of the highlights so far:

Day 1-3: Alice Springs Exploration

From the historic Telegraph Station to the panoramic views at Anzac Hill, Alice Springs welcomed us with its rich heritage and rugged beauty. We delved into Aboriginal culture at Desert Park and marveled at the School of the Air's educational innovations. Evenings were filled with delightful dinners and stories shared at DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs.

Day 4-5: Kings Canyon and Uluru

Traversing the vast Outback, Kings Canyon's ancient sandstone formations left us amazed. At Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Uluru's towering presence and the mesmerizing Field of Light illuminated our evenings with wonder and Anangu culture.

Day 6-7: Kata Tjuta and Sounds of Silence

We will be exploring the domes of Kata Tjuta and dining under a million stars at Sounds of Silence. Canapés and stargazing are on the cards for tonight and we are looking forward to our final night of enjoying the natural and cultural splendour of the Red Centre.
