Today is the Memorial of St Paul Miki and Companions, Japanese martyrs. These brave men and women were martyred in the persecution of Catholics in Japan in 1597 and serve as a powerful witness to the gospel.

Our 'Graces of Japan' pilgrimage in May visits the sites of these holy martyrs, as well as the apparition site of Our Lady of Akita, and we invite you to join us on this journey!

Today is the Feast of St Thomas Aquinas, Doctor of the Church. This brilliant theologian and writer greatly deepened our understanding of theology through works such as the Summa Theologica, which is extensively quoted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. St Thomas had a profound love for Our Lord. After experiencing a vision of God, he famously said, "All that I have written seems to me as so much straw compared to what has now been revealed to me."
