Believe it or not - this was still operating at the time of service call. Hot Join to the contactor. One way to prevent this is to have your switchboards regularly checked and thermal scanned as a preventative maintenance measure.

Power monitoring for sub-mains to assess the customer's maximum demand (total power usage). This was completed to see if the customer had enough power to run an new set of sub-mains and be able to supply a new 200Amp switchboard.

Installation of Energy Efficient Heat Pump to reduce power consumption and replace old Hot Water System.

Matcorp Electrical was asked to design a solar system to help reduce the carbon footprint of these diesel-powered on-site office caravans. Our team calculated the loads of the caravan and designed a solar system to reflect these. If needed, this system can be adjusted with extra batteries and panels. The team were more than happy with the outcome and are now discussing converting the rest of their fleet.

It is essential to do preventative maintenance on switchboards to prevent any issues that may have risen. Eg: see pictures of broken circuit breaker mechanisms that cannot be isolated in the case of emergencies or other scheduled electrical maintenence. This can cause a significant OH&S issues if not rectified and repaired. On this site alone Matcorp Electrical found 7 faulty breakers.

Power quality monitoring to investigate fluctuations in power supply between switchboards within a building. Interuptions have been noted on some of the buildings UPS systems. Power monitoring found extremely low power factor correction at the main breaker - Matcorp Electrical has now started checking all sub-circuits to try to locate the source of the problem.

Great meeting with Mitchell from Evnex to catch a look at their residential and commercial EV Chargers. Manufactured in NZ and is Australia's only EV charger to track our carbon impact. We're looking forward to working with Envex and installing their product very soon. Watch this space!

Last Friday night we had the pleasure of attending the 2023 Protrade United Business Awards Gala at the Brisbane City Hall. We took the staff, the kids, and of course Nanna! Matcorp Electrical was proud to be nominated in the 'Service Award' category which we were thrilled about. The winner of the night was which was well deserved. Was great catching up with some of our Maximiser mates!

Part 2: After getting custom-made Heat Mats from Adloheat - Matcorp installed 38 of these on all benches in the Propagation Greenhouses at Mt Annan Botanic Gardens. During installation, Matcorp worked alongside the Horticulturists to ensure all experiments were not compromised, or interrupted.

Part 1: Design and Construction of new control panels for Mt Annan Botanic Gardens - Heat Beds. These were previously installed within the Greenhouse where there was continuous moisture and controller burnout issues. Matcorp team designed new external switchboards with contactors to shed the load and avoid moisture.
