Summer Solstice 🧡 Today is the longest day of the year: 19 hours and 45 minutes of sunlight. Did you know that it has become a tradition among the islanders to climb the mountain of Slættaratindur to watch the midnight sun on the 21st of June?

Slættaratindur - which means Flat Peak - has an elevation of 880 metre and is the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands. A suitable place to take in this magnificent view 👌
