Get ready for an action-packed March long weekend in Birchip!

Incorporated into the Mali Heart Street Art Festival, Mali Fest is set to provide an afternoon of live music, a Battle of the Bands competition, plus loads of entertainment for the whole family on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Headlining the festival from 2-4pm is Taylor Henderson, ARIA nominated singer/songwriter who has over 30 million streams on Spotify and counting! Since becoming runner-up on The X Factor in 2013, Taylor has had two #1 albums, and two #1 singles topping the ARIA charts, and has played in front of sold-out crowds.

The Mallee Bull in Birchip painted by the talented Kaff-eine.

Legend has it, this renowned figure, known as 'Big Red,' once stirred fear in the hearts of locals, his thunderous presence echoing for miles, a dreaded warning to all.

The formidable bull possessed remarkable traits that set him apart as the leader of the herd. With strength, vibrant colors, and intelligence, he thrived in the unforgiving environment, outwitting hunters, braving harsh weather, and striking fear into anyone who crossed his path.

Yet, amidst the tales and whispers, it remains a mystery whether these accounts are fact or fiction, adding to the allure of this larger-than-life creature.
