Continuing on our last post about York, Western Australia, today is about a must-visit quirky old fashioned lolly shop, “Penny Farthing Sweets”. The owners Gary and Lynn met on Rottnest Island, where Gary was born and raised. Gary’s parents started the first bike hire and ice cream shop on Rottnest. And Gary continued to mange the bike hire shop until it was time for a sea change. They ended up retiring in York as Gary once told me, they couldn’t get used to the traffic! Hope you enjoy the video 🙂 #miglobalhappiness

Pathway to Wave Rock, Hyden WA
Don’t just do a day trip to Wave Rock, Western Australia! There’s so much more! Showcasing our 1st Prize for the video competition: 2 night stay at Wave Rock Lakeside Resort, sponsored by Australia's Golden Outback
Wave Rock is located in Hyden, Western Australia, about 380km east of Perth. It is in the wheatbelt region of WA and is part of Australia’s Golden Outback regional tourism organisation. As an WA iconic landscape, it attracts an average of 150K - 200K visitors per year.
Most tourists only see it as a “photo/break spot” and don’t realise there’s much more to be experienced, including a natural floating salt pool nearby, a natural therapeutic floating tank, just like the Dead Sea, built by the same pioneering family that found the township in 1932. Our prize winners will have the opportunity to stay close to the floating spring for 2 nights in a chalet at Wave Rock Lakeside Resort.
Here’s a short video by Australia's Golden Outback that will give you an glimpse over what’s around Wave Rock. You may be surprised😉
