Bring back Section 33 Czech citizenship (Renew the opportunity to acquire the citizenship of the Czech Republic with a declaration according to Br 33 ").

I have started this group because I was denied Czech citizenship and wanted to see how many people have been denied due to the law.

It has been detemined that I am another of the many victims of the communist Czechoslovak citizenship laws and the subsequent nonsensical amendment to the law that only partially resolved these injustices.

This is based on Czechoslovak law number 194/1949, which states that children born abroad between 1 October 1949 and 7 May 1969 acquire Czechoslovak citizenship only if both their parents are Czechoslovak citizens or if their birth was registered at the Czechoslovak embassy within one year.

Podle zakona c. 194/1949 states that the parent has to register the new born within the first year of life to become a Czech.

To apply for Czech citizenship under Czech Law 186/2013, Section 33, which sought to right this wrong, but quite incomprehensibly set the deadline for applying for only one year, so that this was only possible from 1 January 2014 to 1 January 2015, and now it is no longer possible.
