🎣 Now this is a GT, the biggest we've seen around Kuri Bay this season. What makes this capture even more impressive was that it was hooked across the top of a shallow reef and landed in just over 1m of water 😎

The small gel filled pores located on sharks’ snouts (called the ‘Amupllae of Lorenzini’), detect the electric fields produced by all living things in the surrounding water (even if they are hiding in the sand!) 🦈

🎣 Gordy landed his first Blue Bastard at Kuri Bay! 😎🤙 Did You Know: The elusive Blue Bastard changes colour from yellow with light and dark stripes as a juvenile, to a beautiful silvery blue as an adult. They also grow up to a metre in length! Although these fish have been around northern Australia for sometime, its species was only scientifically recognised in 2015 🐟🐟

🐟 Catch and release tip - Fish with Barbless hooks! Using Barbless hooks will help you handle fish faster. There is less chance of hurting the fish while getting the hook out and allows you to release them back into the water quicker, giving them a better chance at a full recovery ☺️
