Detourist history.
This is one friendly Bandicoot of 100's on Barrow Island north of Onslow in Western Australia.
My first encounter with these little things was cool yet weird as it felt like there was an infestation of rats. They were cute and not afraid of people.
You eventually get used to them.

Detourist history.
Location: Broome to Cape Leveque on the Dampier peninsula.
This trip had a very BIG impact on my life after experiencing Bundy's Cultural Coastal Adventure Tour. We met Bundy and his son at Lombadina Community, from there we followed him to a secluded beach and OMG!!! The view, different shades of blue, clear water and history of this place was amazing.
Bundy showed me how to make my own fishing spear and took me to try it out.
We both came back with nothing but his son came back with a fish and mud crab.
Later on Bundy was teaching me how to throw my own cast net (Not so easy).
He gave me a long piece of thick grass to chew on and it tasted like the sweetest watermelon, yum.
The rocky platform we're standing on had footprints in them from 50,000 years ago and there was plenty of them. The thought of standing somewhere with evidence from such a long time ago made me feel privileged to be there and the history behind it all gave me another outlook on life and our connection with nature.
Thank you Bundy from for opening my eyes, heart and soul to a different understanding of life.

Tuggerah Marsh snake

Found this little guy while excavating at work today in Tuggerah. It's a Marsh snake (mildly venomous). We enjoyed eachother's company and I released him safely while chasing kookaburras away from trying to catch him.

Detourist mascot. Krypto's first time on the beach. He ran and jumped on the water thinking he would land on top of the water. So he know he cannot walk on water but I was surprised he swam straight away, that was cool to see. He is being cautious walking in to water now but loves the beach. Little bundle of joy and we are happy to have him. Follow Detourist and share the adventures.

Backyard raw nature. With all the rain, I took advantage of a short break and went to the foothills of Woy Woy. It felt like I entered a new world. This is as raw and untouched as it gets. Beautiful green colours and small waterfalls everywhere. Sometimes word's can't explain what you see and photos or videos do not give it justice. We took advantage of the weather today and came across waterfalls everywhere. The Central Coast is full of waterfalls especially after rain. Oh, the wife joined the leach club today. We came home and she yelled out to me "I got a leach, get it off!". Welcome to the club my wonderful wife. Connect with nature and explore the Central Coast with Detourist.
