China Eastern Business Class A350 -
Sydney to Europe via Shanghai

I deliberately chose to travel on this service to try out the new A350 that flies from Sydney to Shanghai with the Business Class private suite with closing door.

This aircraft is brand new and travels this route daily.

Features-

Fully flat bed
Complimentary wifi
All seats have direct aisle access

Travel time - 10 hours 40 mins

Entertainment - great huge screen however choice of movies was average. Enough to keep me busy though...

For the price paid I would highly recommend this service compared to the extra $2-3k you’d pay for another airline. Meals weren’t up to scratch however this was still worth the overall $$ saving. the gluten free option always gave a balanced healthy selection of food. Service was average on my outbound flight with the language barrier making things slightly difficult however the inbound journey was much better.

Connection in Shanghai was 5+ hours for my flight to Amsterdam and lounge in Shanghai was huge and busy although I managed to have a shower and curl up in a ball in one of the chairs for an hour nap.

On the return from Frankfurt I flew on the 777 which was an older aircraft however the staff were much more friendly and willing to help and I also found the seat very comfortable. I was offered pajamas and the L’Occitaine was amenity kit received on the other flights.

China Eastern partner with Qantas so you can receive Qantas frequent flyer points for this trip!

Next time you travel to China or aeurope let me see what real I can get you on this flight!!

Checkout the incredible 8 day cruise I just experienced in Europe!

I can not recommend this cruise enough for those that dream of doing a river cruise however are concerned that they may not fit in with the typical river cruise stereotype (age 65 plus). Or, you may be just young at heart with a lively spirit up for all adventures!

We had a choice of 3 tours each day included in our cost. ACTIVE - maybe a hike or a bike ride, DISCOVERY- one group learned about the ancient volcanoes around Koblenz and travelled underground or CLASSIC - possibly a cooking class or brewery tour.

There was a fantastic gym on board and yoga, Pilates or fitness class twice daily.

The menus feature Avalon Healthy Choice meals and the chef was well organised to cater for all food preferences. The waiters were well informed and at the beginning there was a special meeting with the chef to go through any allergies, or preferences.
