Day 5: Boulder City to Las Vegas

Emerald Cove with Desert Adventure Kayak Tour. An exciting and scenic way to explore the natural beauty of the Colorado River and the surrounding desert landscapes. Next stop - Meow Wolf - Opened in February 2021, "Omega Mart" is an immersive supermarket with hidden portals leading to bizarre and dreamlike spaces. It features a combination of art installations and interactive elements.

Area 15 - an immersive entertainment and retail complex located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Known for its innovative blend of art, technology, and interactive experiences, AREA15 offers a diverse range of attractions that appeal to a wide audience. An immersive light and sound experience that uses cutting-edge technology to create mesmerizing visual and auditory displays.

Overnight at Hotel Caesars Palace - one of the most iconic and luxurious hotel and casino resorts in Las Vegas. Day 4: Part 2: Tonopah to Boulder City (via ET Highway Highway)

The Valley of Fire State Park
A breathtaking natural wonder offering a chance to explore dramatic landscapes, learn about ancient cultures, and engage in a variety of outdoor activities. Its striking scenery and rich history make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling through Nevada. and quick access from Las Vegas. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, lizards, and a variety of bird species.

The Hoover Dam stands as a testament to human ingenuity and perseverance, providing vital resources and benefits to the region while serving as a major tourist attraction and historical landmark. It emerged in the early 20th century to control flooding, provide irrigation water, and generate hydroelectric power for the rapidly growing southwestern United States. Located on the border between the states of Nevada and Arizona.

Boulder City for the Overnight stop. A unique and historically significant city located about 26 miles/42 Kms southeast of Las Vegas and is close to the Arizona-Nevada border. Unlike most of Nevada, Boulder City has strict regulations prohibiting gambling. This was originally implemented to create a family-friendly environment for the dam workers and remains in place today. Close proximity to Lake Mead, residents & visitors enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, and camping.

Dillinger's for Dinner - The restaurant's name and theme are inspired by John Dillinger, a notorious bank robber and outlaw during the Great Depression era. The decor and ambiance reflect a Prohibition-era aesthetic, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere. The interior decor of The Dillinger reflects its 1920s and 1930s gangster theme.

Boulder Dam Hotel
Built in 1933 during the construction of the Hoover Dam (initially called the Boulder Dam). It was designed to provide comfortable accommodations for visiting government officials, dignitaries, and tourists. In recognition of its historical significance and well-preserved architecture, the Boulder Dam Hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

TRAVEL NEVADA! Get a little out there!
Day 4: Part1: Tonopah to Boulder City (via ET Highway Highway)

Along State Route 375 – AKA the Extraterrestrial Highway – keep your eyes peeled for roadside signs and alien-themed sights worth pulling over for and snapping a photo or two! You’ll see sky-high signs for the Extraterrestrial Highway, only-in-Nevada signs for Rachel, Nevada, a storage container with an outta-this-world mural, and maybe a UFO or two!

Breakfast at Little A’Le’Inn, Rachel, NV.
Rachel has a population of 54 and is the closest city to one of America’s most notorious air force bases, Area 51. The Little A’Le’Inn’s alien decor—right down to the jerry-rigged UFO hanging from a crane – make this an unmatched Nevada landmark, to say the least. Visitors can peruse photos of alleged, first-person UFO accounts and purchase quirky swag that would be hard to find anywhere else. Don’t forget to check out the bar ceiling, which is littered with pinned dollar bills.

Alien Research Centre a unique attraction located in Hiko, Nevada, near the Extraterrestrial Highway (State Route 375) situated close to the famous Area 51, a highly secretive U.S. Air Force base that has long been the subject of UFO and alien conspiracy theories.

Day 3: Part 3: Pahrump to Tonopah

The Clown Motel!
Located in the small town of Tonopah, Nevada, roughly halfway between Las Vegas and Reno. It sits adjacent to the historic Tonopah Cemetery, which dates back to the early 1900s. The Clown Motel has been featured in various media, including documentaries, TV shows, and internet videos. Its unusual theme and reported hauntings have made it a subject of fascination and a popular stop for road trippers and ghost hunters.

Get Spooked At The Mizpah Hotel, Tonopah.
Built in 1907 and officially opened in 1908. It was named after the Mizpah Mine, a significant silver deposit discovered in the area. The Mizpah Hotel is famous for its ghost stories and paranormal activity. The most well-known spirit is that of the "Lady in Red," believed to be a pr******te who was murdered on the fifth floor. Guests and staff have reported sightings and strange occurrences attributed to her and other spirits.

Dinner at Tonopah Brewing Company- “Greatness comes from blood, sweat, and beers,” It's more than just a place to enjoy a cold beer; it's a key part of the Tonopah community and a unique destination that highlights the spirit of this historic mining town. Beatty
An emblem of the Old West and the Silver State’s rich mining history, there’s no better way to get to know Beatty, than a welcoming committee ( Burro's) that’s been part of it all since the very beginning. Known as the "Gateway to Death Valley, Beatty was founded in 1905 during the gold rush era, named after Montillus (Montillion) Murray "Old Man" Beatty, a local rancher and miner who settled in the area in the late 19th century. Its small-town charm, coupled with historical and natural attractions, makes it a noteworthy destination in Nevada.

The International Car Forest of the Last Church
A unique art installation located near Goldfield, Nevada. It's a whimsical and eclectic site that combines automotive wreckage with artistic expression. Was created by artists Chad Sorg and Mark Rippie. The project began in 2002 when Rippie, a Goldfield resident, envisioned a car-based art installation. Sorg joined the project in 2011 and helped expand its scope. Located just outside Goldfield, Nevada, a historic mining town on U.S. Route 95, about 180 miles (290 kilometers) northwest of Las Vegas and 26 miles (42 kilometers) south of Tonopah. The installation features more than 40 vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, and buses. These vehicles are partially buried nose-first in the ground, stacked on top of each other, or otherwise arranged in various creative configurations.

The Tonopah Historic Mining Park
Located on the site of the original mining claims that launched the rush to the “Queen of the Silver Camps,” this 100-acre park features free exhibits and self-guided tours around original equipment, buildings, and shafts dug deep beneath this high desert silver mining town. The park is built on the site of one of Nevada's most significant mining discoveries, made by prospector Jim Butler in 1900. Butler's discovery of silver-rich ore led to the creation of the Tonopah Mining District.
