Here’s a little story as a reminder of why travel insurance is so important.

A Covermore customer was on a cruise when they suddenly had trouble breathing and felt lightheaded. They stepped outside for fresh air but collapsed shortly after. The onboard medical team advised a medical disembarkment to get care on land. Thankfully, after treatment, the doctor cleared them to rejoin the cruise and continue their trip.

With travel insurance, all their medical expenses, additional accommodation, and the cost to fly to the next port—totalling $12,535—were covered, allowing them to focus on their health and enjoy the rest of the journey stress-free.

Did you know you’ll need a visa to travel to Vietnam? For Australian passport holders, the process is straightforward and can be done online as an e-visa. There are two options to choose from: a single-entry e-visa, which allows one entry into Vietnam and is valid for 30 days, and a multiple-entry e-visa, ideal if you’re planning to explore neighbouring countries and then return to Vietnam within 90 days.
