Uganda closed all borders for passenger movement on March 22. While one writer was unfortunately stranded because of this, the quiet, lush location in which she is forced to stay isn't all that bad.

VISIT UGANDA TODAY SALUTES A HERO! - MAJOR FRANK MUSISI (RET.)

We all know how to give a compliment. We all know that there are ordinary compliments for ordinary acts as well as exceptional compliments for exceptional acts. This one is for the latter.

It is for United States Army Officer, Major Frank Musisi (Ret.), founder of Ssese Islands African Aids Project (SIAAP) - an HIV/AIDS non-government organization (NGO) in Kalangala District, Mugoye sub-county in Bugoma village, Ssese Islands (http://www.siaap.org/).

For those of you who don’t know, the word ‘musisi’ means ‘earthquake’ and the name suits him to the T. From combat roles to humanitarian ones, he is a peaceful earthquake. He has shown that when someone is getting through hard times, he has got their back.

VisitUgandaToday joins Crown Royal and the Detroit Pistons as they honour ‘The Earthquake’ as A MILITARY HERO OF THE GAME

This is the only earthquake any team would be lucky to have on it, this time, as a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dreadful world. We salute you, sir!

Please LIKE and SHARE in honour of Maj. Musisi as wellas VISIT http://www.siaap.org/

Nkulee Dube, Lucky Dube’s daughter. Amazing...

The second to last Friday of the year and we're over-the-moon it's almost done... NKULEE DUBE and I look forward to a very exciting 2020 and beyond! For the time being? Here is this weekend's "Dube Wisdom"...
"I believe in taking chances and living our life. Sometimes doors open and others close and you have to figure out which door you're going to take. I'm always for the one that's most challenging. Our lives improve only when we take chances -- and the first and most difficult risk we can take is, to be honest with ourselves. Taking chances on opportunities, even if they aren't right for you, gives you a clearer picture of where you want to go with your life and career. I've found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances."

Many things surprise me about Uganda but, know what?, this one doesn't. First of all many Ugandans have been refugees themselves and know the pain of feeling unwelcome

In a world struggling with anti-immigrant sentiment, Uganda provides a rare hospitable welcome for those seeking asylum. Refugees live in settlements where t...
