Kelvin and his better half, Nat, have become a part of the furniture at Geo events and we’re glad to have them along. Rarely seen without his side kick, Heidi, Kelvin is a ripper bloke and we wish him all the best for his 22nd birthday and many more to come.

The 24-hour Challenge is back!

Geo24 will be held on June 1st in the Pyrenees Ranges region of Victoria. There will be 4 courses to complete over the 24h period, with teams working to find their way between checkpoints.

Secret tracks, puzzles and games are all a part of the course as you make your way through.

It was great to have the Wigley Engineering crew at the event and see the awesome trophies they provided get handed out.

Well that was our first Geo12 run and won. They say winners are grinners but these blokes are just natural born grinners..
Team Farm Fresh took the honors with a classy clean sweep of both sections.
Being one of only two teams who nutted out the clues to get to BOTH secret checkpoints at night they won quite comprehensively.
A couple of Nav event Stalwart team come in with equal scores for 2nd and 3rd place, with the seperation only being made by one team incurring more penalties than the other.
Team Patrolapart coming out the winner in the fight for second with only semantics relegating Dollstars to 3rd place.
Some honorable mentions:
The Yorkies who drove all the way from the York Peninsula in SA to compete in their first event. A lovely couple who learned a lot and hopefully return to some more events.
The lonely Prado did itself a bit of a mischief with the welding on engine mount liberating itself from the chassis. For many teams this would spell the end of the event but not this black duck!
The boys had their daily driver Subaru sitting back at camp and quickly transferred some nav gear and they were back on the tracks! The Suby was no Prado so a couple of tracks were bypassed but it made the end of the event and a respectable 11th place.
Our humble winners dished out some typical country camaraderie and hospitality. They pulled up to assist the lonely Prado strap the engine back in so they could limp back to camp. Then in true Aussie spirit they invited the Prado boys back to their farm workshop to weld ‘er up so they could get home.
I love the unity, friendships, laughs and tribulations that come out of these events.
A huge thanks to all the competitors for coming along and help create such welcoming and friendly environment.
Also Nic Garner and Troy Garner for the checkpoint duties and help with the catering. These guys keep turning up and provide reliable and constructive help to the running of our events.
Also Ty for helping cook breaky.
Of course all this would not be possible without the support of our commerial partners. These people and products not only help us with our events but they are among the best in their respective industries and we strongly encourage you to consider them when you need something.

Happy Birthday to the GEO Gentle Giant Ben Allen.
Ben and his lovely wife Laila had a rough start to Navigation events but being the tenacious, never give up couple that they are, they stuck with it and keep climbing the ranks.
In case you didn’t know they were the ‘Rowdy’ ones at Guildford. Be sure to swing past their campfire next event.. they are always up for a yarn and everyone is welcome.
