Who's busting to hit trails like this? This incredible trail network in Tassie's St. Helens takes you from bush to beach and our partners at NRMA St. Helens Waterfront Park have new MTB bunkhouses especially for bikers.
The twin rooms are located right next to the camp kitchen and there's a bike wash area and service centre to make sure your ride is as easy and hassle-free as possible. The alfresco area is a popular place to chill after a day on the trails and the pizza oven, woodfire and BBQs are much-loved features.
So...see you soon?

Even the tiniest hint of warmer weather is getting us excited about getting back in the saddle in Victoria's high country. And if last summer is anything to go by, plan ahead! The bike-friendly accommodation options sell out really quickly so we're locking in dates NOW. And if lockdowns get in the way of plans, most hotels have booking terms that have you covered.

If there’s a better way to experience this iconic coastal road than by driving it end to end, it’s riding any section of it. No matter which part of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road you decide to ride, you won’t be disappointed. As repeat participants in Amy’s Gran Fondo, we love the stretch between Lorne and Apollo Bay and the mighty climbs through the Otway National Park. But the beauty of the Great Ocean Road is that every turn across its entire length brings jaw-dropping views and places to explore. Hands down in our top 3 places we’re busting to ride once we’re out of lockdown. Who’s with us?

Tasmania's reputation as a world class cycling destination only goes from strength to strength and it's not too hard to see why. This rugged island of untouched wilderness provides extraordinary cycling experiences across road, gravel and mountain bike trails.

Local, bike-friendly businesses make it so easy to travel with your bike and even the main airports have bike set up stations and tools so you can start your cycling holiday from the moment you step off the plane.

Visit bikehotels.com.au to find bike-friendly accommodation and to learn more about the incredible experiences that await you in our southern-most State.

Canberra keeps climbing the ranks as a go-to weekend cycling destination for road cyclists and mountain bikers alike. Check out our latest article on a ride that has a little bit of everything, from lakes and lookouts to beers and burgers (in that order too!).

It's 115km from start to finish but you can add sections to explore a little further or take sections out and slow down the pace to take in all the local landmarks. And we've chosen possibly the best location to start and finish in Capital Brewing Co.!

Visit the explore section on bikehotels.com.au for more.

Sunday + two wheels + a breathtakingly beautiful, car-free island...that can only be Western Australia's Rottnest Island.

Just 25 minutes from Fremantle, Rotto is the perfect place to wind down before the week kicks in. Take your own bike or hire one on the island and ride your way around the white sandy beaches and secluded coves. On your way home, grab a pizza and a pint at Little Creatures Brewing.

Check out Quest Fremantle for conveniently located apartment style accommodation. If you're bringing your own bike, there's secure bike storage, maps of local rides, a place to wash your bike and basic bike maintenance tools.

Who's taking on IRONMAN Cairns this weekend? We love this event, especially the bike course where the rainforest quite literally meets the sea! 🌴💛

All set for perfect conditions with the forecast at 26 degrees and water temperature 23 degrees. Did someone say winter??

Good luck to everyone who's competing, participating or giving it their best shot...and a shoutout to our friends in Melbourne who can't be with us. Stay safe! 🖤

It's 31 degrees in Katherine today and every day for the next week. That's winter in the NT. I'm already sold. But there's another reason to get up there - a brand new singletrack MTB trail network has just opened in Nitmiluk National Park, 30km north of Katherine and home to the Jawoyn People.

Over 20km of flowy trails on the edge of rocky plateau with a 100m drop into one of 13 STUNNING gorges. Take. Me. There.

Don't forget to drop by The Black Russian Caravan Bar for a toastie and coffee on your way.

As we begin National Reconciliation Week and reflect on this year's theme, More Than A Word, we will make a greater effort to share stories of our First Nations cultures and to celebrate their achievements as we continue our journey of reconciliation.

Happy Giro d’Italia everyone! In just 5 hours, 23 teams will battle it out over 21 stages for la maglia rosa and we can’t wait!

We asked , the Founder of Bike Hotels and five-time competitor in the Giro about the first thing that comes to mind when he thinks about this Grand Tour. “Giro d’Italia is the race of colours and seasons, from the breathtaking Alps (literally!) to picture-perfect Sicily. But most of all, it’s the race of home. I’ve been lucky to race on the roads that are my backyard, my training ground and the home of my family and friends. For me that was pretty special. “

“It’s a beautiful race but it can also be brutal. The stage I will never forget was in 2014. It was the 16th stage from Ponte di Legno to Val Martello. I’ve never been that cold in my life. On top of the Gavia it was snowing like crazy and the 30km downhill that followed was hell. There were riders stopping beside the road, unable to control their bikes. It was crazy. And at the bottom, there was no relief as we had the Stelvio in front of us. I will never forget that day.”

What’s your most memorable Giro stage?
