It comes to all of us, that sad time when you retire a much loved bike. Our HDMT crew will always find a way to stay on two (or sometimes three) wheels, regardless of aging, ill health or any other curve-ball that comes along.

Thanks to Zealous Airbrush Studio and Kruik Kustoms and Sunshine Coast Harley-Davidson for getting this new beauty on the road for us; and freshening up an older bike for one of our awesome crew. Love your work guys.

We hope you all enjoy your wheels and the wind in your hair as much as we do.

We at Heavy Duty Motorcycle Tours hope you all enjoyed following along on our Daytona Beach Bike Week tour.

The riders and their pillions on this tour were absolutely awesome to ride and party with. We would like to thank them all for allowing HDMT to host them on their Bucket List experience.

This was the first of our new US Spring Tours. Each year now will see us explore a different part of the beautiful US.

In 2025 we will follow the old Blues highway and venues in the southern states on our 'Blues Cruise'.

Of course our Sturgis and Black Hills tours will continue over the US summers; with this years 28 day ride starting in San Francisco, CA and our 16 day ride coming out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Daytona Beach Bike Week final day! It’s been an awesome three weeks, and what better way to end the tour than to ride the Tail of the Dragon US-129 highway with 318 curves in 11 miles. The drizzly morning wasn’t quite perfect weather, but the scenery was still spectacular riding through the smokey mountains in the early morning mist. A quick visit to Killer Creek H-D before dropping off our bikes and heading back to Marietta for our final night. Thank you to all the wonderful riders and pillions who made this tour a magnificent and unforgettable ride. It’s been a blast! 😎

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 20: With a free day in Pigeon Forge today it was a night and day of discovering local attractions, restaurants and bars. Our Farewell Dinner tonight was a celebration of another successful and adventurous tour with an awesome group! Thank you to every person on this tour who helped make it an unforgettable and memorable few weeks! Tomorrow morning we're off on our last day of riding as we head to the Tail of the Dragon on our way to our last night in Marietta GA!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Days 18 & 19: We left Savannah on a cool morning tackling the inner city traffic, crossing the state border line of South Carolina, to our lunch destination in Greenwood. The sun warmed our ride in the afternoon as we rode into Greenville for the night. An early start this morning for a cold but glorious ride through the Blue Ride Parkway for miles of windy twisty scenic treelined roads. Lunch was in Maggie Valley NC then more stunning riding though the Smoky Mountains to our hotel in Pigeon Forge TN (the home of Dollywood!). A perfect day of riding as we travelled through three States in one day!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 16 & 17: With Daytona Beach behind us, we headed to the beautiful riverside town of Savannah. An early morning visit to Bucee’s then on to Adamec H-D, with lunch at Sonny’s BBQ after we crossed the border line from Florida into Georgia. We’re staying right in the city in Savannah close to all the riverside action. Great restaurants to dine at. Perfect weather for our river cruise aboard the Georgia Queen. And an afternoon of discovering the local historical riverside town. A beautiful city to visit! 😎

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 15: It’s been a hectic few days in Daytona Beach for the 83rd Bike Rally! Main Street has been buzzing with huge crowds which were finally thinning out today and the cost of beer reduced to $2! A visit out to Destination Daytona, the Daytona International Speedway and a great afternoon at the Broken Spoke kept us all entertained. A ride was in order today for some of our group to Angel’s Diner in Palatka which is Florida’s oldest diner. Savannah GA tomorrow! 😎

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 13: A morning visit to the Kennedy Space Centre was our first stop this morning before we headed to the craziness of Daytona! Destination Daytona at Teddy Morse’s H-D grounds was thick full of punters and vendors. It’s fantastic to see the huge crowds there and in Main Street tonight! The place is loud and wild! And we’re here to take it all in! And loving it!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 12: We left Okeechobee this morning on our first overcast day! A little drizzle in the air but luckily only light rain! The streets were tree lined as we began our ride for an early visit to Treasure Coast H-D. Today was one of the shortest ride days as we made our way for an early arrival to discover the seaside town of Cocoa Beach. Heaps to see and do here! Daytona tomorrow!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 11: Two packed days in Key West and we’re ready for our next destination. Today is one of the biggest riding days of the tour – 500 kays to Okeechobee. We rode back through the Florida Keys Highway, the long bridges packed with holiday traffic and stunning waters either side. Pelicans were spotted as we headed to lunch at the Olive Garden in Miami. We stopped at Alligator Alley H-D then back on the road for the last long leg of ride. Cold drinks were enjoyed before more laughs and entertainment at dinner! We’re gonna rest well tonight! Cocoa Beach tomorrow!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Days 9 & 10: A fabulous and long day riding the stunning Florida Keys Highway in another day of perfect riding weather! A few stops along the way including the Skunk Ape Headquarters before a local Mexican restaurant for lunch. We stopped by the southernmost point in the continental US before arriving in our Key West accommodation for two nights. The streets are packed with bars and heaps of entertainment. Time to party up and to relax! So much to see in this very cool stunning town where roosters freely roam the streets!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 8: Adventure day today while we tackled full on heavy traffic on our way to Rockstar H-D in Fort Myers. The folks there were perfect hosts and showered us with heaps goodies! The roads were packed with bikes making their way to Daytona. We’ll be there in a few days! We enjoyed a long lunch at Cracker Barrel Country Kitchen. We’re in Naples Florida tonight enjoying some coldies and pizza by the pool! Life’s tough!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Days 5, 6 & 7: After a few big riding days, it has been awesome to have a sleep in (not today!) and kick back and relax. While we’ve been in Orlando some of the crew have visited Universal Studios, Sea Word, Car Museums, local restaurants or just relaxed at the huge awesome Marriott Grand Vista accommodation (a little city within itself!). Today we had an early start and took off to Lake Kissimmee for a swamp tour gator experience. We saw quite a few gators which was super impressive, but have also seen gators in the lakes in our accommodation just metres away from our rooms! Yikes! Luckily none that have joined us poolside!! The adventure continues!!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 4: It’s the end of the day and again it feels like another huge day on the road with these awesome people!! We started our day in Lake City with our first stop at War Horse Harley-Davidson. The folk there were awesome as we stocked up on tees and merch, but still managed to stock up more when we rode to the next dealership at Gator H-D! Thanks to both dealerships for pins, badges and pens!! We love and appreciate your generosity!! :) A fantastic lunch today at the picturesque lake side location of Lake Harris Hideaway restaurant. If you’re ever in this area this is a great place to enjoy lunch! We’ve now arrived in Orlando for three nights staying at the huge Marriott where we’ve enjoyed the poolside, restaurants, ambience and scenic location. We’re here for three nights so we can enjoy a sleep in and let our hair down, which will be definitely appreciated for those on tour that like to sleep in (Carolyn & Darren!)
There’s heaps to see in this town so there’ll be no problem filling in the days with fun, frivolity, adventure and laughter! Stay tuned!! :)

Daytona Beach Bike Week Day 3: We set off on other perfect day, getting used to riding on the wrong side of the road to our first stop at Tifton Harley-Davidson. The small town of Homerville GA was next for lunch at Mama’s Kountry Table. We laughed with the waitress, who got all our meals and drinks wrong! She was keen to try Vegemite, which guaranteed on any tour someone has brought with them. We all laughed as she squished her face at the taste! We continued our scenic ride, crossing the border into Florida, a quick visit to Walmart, then onto the night’s stop at Lake City. The roads were light with traffic as we zoomed along country roads and small towns lapping up the sun. Dinner was at the busy Texan Steak House were we all ate and drank too much! A fabulous way to end a superb day!

Daytona Beach Bike Week Tour Day 2: A perfect day to pick up our bikes and start the ride through Atlanta’s busy traffic. We stopped at The Twelve Oaks which has been a film set for movies including Gone with the Wind, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Vampire Diaries and another 140+ shows! Lunch was in Covington before we rode through the sunshine on winding roads to Americus GA for our Welcome Dinner! An excellent first day on the road with this awesome group!

With some of our 2024 Daytona Beach Bike Week tour group already winging their way to the US, we really should let you all know that we already have bookings into 2028; so if you think this could be your once in a lifetime, bucket list experience (or you really just want to do Sturgis one more time), please don't wait until the last minute to book on a tour - particularly if you are a group, we hate to disappoint anyone.

Tours for 2024 and 2025 are already heavily booked, so don't miss your chance to take in the breath-taking scenery, great riding roads and a party like no other; all with a fantastic bunch of people that will become friends for life after you share this experience with them.

Most of our crew fly out in a day or so to meet up in Atlanta, GA; so let us know if you are interested in our future tours. We will get the info out to you as soon as possible.

Plans are in full swing for our 2023 tours! Here's a snapshot of our fantastic 2022 tour compliments of tour member Craig Tulczyn.
