Has been a massive week for Manta Bus with 2 Funerals Kirrikurra and lake Nash.
It was a pleasure to support the families to be able to attend the funerals.

My campfire wasn’t the cause of the large fire behind the Devils Marbles. 😜

The team at Manta Bus will be closing operations down from 16/12/23 and returning back 15/1/24 for a much needed break.

Manta Bus last Utopia and Ampilatwatja service run for 2023 will be the 14/12/23. We will be starting the run again on the 18/1/24 in the New Year.

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced and passionate drivers to join our Team for weekend transfers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Driving to Ampilatwatja community on Saturday and Sunday spending overnight at Ampilatwatja great and $75 overnight allowance included.

Consistently ensuring the safety of you, your passengers and your vehicle.
You will be responsible for creating a positive customer experience on every single service!

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate.

Demonstrate cross cultural awareness, understanding and knowledge, including a sound understanding of cultural sensitivities and needs in working with Aboriginal people.

Licences/ Requirements:

Criminal History Check required
Current H endorsement to carry paid passengers
A current HR driver licence
Demonstrable coach driving experience
An outstanding safety focus, including a commitment to your own fitness for duty
Experience delivering excellent customer service is a must
Time management

Manta Bus provides a fast, responsive, cost-effective bus and charter service to remote communities in the Barkly and Central Australian region.

They are a family-owned business and looking to expand their capabilities and variety of vehicles in the near future.

Today, I met with Andrew Lock, the Managing Director of Manta Bus to discuss the range of current services being provided for remote communities in the Barkly region and the possibility of extending services between Mt Isa and Tennant Creek.

Its been a big week with a charter trip to Mount Isa, that disrupted our normal service to Ampilatwatja last week.
We are returning tomorrow the 22/6 pick ups begin at 7am.

Were off on another interstate adventure, to Mt Isa over night at Harts Range. Wednesday head to MT Isa.

Fatz (the Truck) and I had a fantastic day we had our first vist to No.5 Bore it was great ti meet the people there and wr look forward to more visits there.
Then it was shamus and I on a dash though the back country to Ampatawatja. Where we picked up nearly a full bus load and headed back to Alice.
I want thank all our customers for your loyal support. To those who have personally contacted me over the last few day its been very much appreciated.
And also Alice mechanical services for keeping our buses on the road.

This road drastically needs work done to it. In places our busses can only travel at 20kph.

Big trip planned for 29/5/21.Manta bus is heading for Kiwirrkurra,WA to bring mob back to Alice for the football and take them back the following week.
Anyone wanting to go out that way let me know, we're taking Fatz, our 25 seater.
And i will be back to Ampilatwatja on the 3/6/21.
