It was a pleasure to be invited to speak at the Timor-Leste Tourism Investment Forum, held on November 21-22, 2024, and hosted by H.E Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinator Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister for Tourism and Environment of Timor Leste, along with the International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group.

This two-day annual event brought together national and international investors to spotlight tourism as a high-potential sector in Timor-Leste.

Thank you for helping spread the word about the La Rende! Trek, which has the potential to become a signature trail supporting the sustainable development of adventure tourism in Timor-Leste. It highlights the nation’s rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and welcoming culture. It was a true pleasure to hit the trails with SGT Heath Crotty and CPO Christian Duncan, and to gain insights from Mr. Ed Willis, author of WWII in East Timor: An Australian Army Site and Travel Guide, as we paused at key sites along the way.
