Over the past 3 days, our incredible team played an integral role at the inaugural TL-AU Business Conference 2024, ensuring seamless transportation for delegates. Despite long hours and late nights, they tirelessly navigated the streets of Dili, ensuring everyone arrived safely at each destination. On the conference's final day, Maddog Adventures facilitated four sector tours, spotlighting Agribusiness, Training, Manufacturing, and Tourism. With meticulous coordination and collaboration, our team and tour suppliers crafted unforgettable experiences, complete with inspiring workshops and delicious traditional Timorese cuisine. While we'd love to flood your feed with photos, we've condensed our favorite moments into a highlights reel. Enjoy! Day 3 - “After the long hike up to Mota Dokomali, with a few stops along the way, the view awaiting us at the top of the mountain was breathtaking. The vast greenery, farmers working off in the distance, and the heavy flowing waterfall were all amazing to witness and was one of the best feelings in the world. I would do it over and over again if I could.” - Maddog Participant #maddog_adventures #adventure #timorleste #exploretheundiscovered #dokomali #adventuretravel #cggs
With years of canyoning experience in the Blue Mountains and around Coffs Harbour, we’ve always been passionate about exploring the layout of rivers and creek systems. Mota Kalau (Dare Canyon) was the first canyon we pioneered in Timor-Leste a little over 2 years ago now. We always knew the topography of the area would reveal epic secrets for the adventurous traveller to unravel, but little did we know just how amazing the experience would be. This site is a full day experience with a 50min hike downhill followed by 6 abseils ranging in height from 10 - 45 metres. Expect some hand over hand guide rope sections and rock hoping between abseils. You’ll need to reserve some energy for the walk out which takes 45mins and will see you clambering over boulders along the river bed all the way to the newly constructed weir where your vehicle will await to shuttle you back to Dili. This site requires prior abseiling experience and a good sense of adventure.
