It's time for us to move on to new adventures.

The hiking in the Flinders Ranges is some of the best in the state, hands down. Last weekend we hiked Mt Brown peak and the country looks amazing after a mild summer. Here Susan shows us the seeds for Flinders Ranges pines that grow in semi arid landscapes, are hardy, Termine proof and native to the region. We managed to grow one in the Outback Shack garden about 7 years ago and it's doing very well! Come and see and enjoy for yourself! 🌲🥾

If you are thinking about coming and doing the Pichi Richi Railway here's the timetable in for 2023, and just a 5 minute walk from the Outback Shack. Get in fast! Super popular. 😃🚂

The Pichi Richi Railway is a heritage steam railway, based at Quorn in South Australia's Flinders Ranges. Trains operate from Quorn and Port Augusta on the famous old Ghan narrow gauge railway.
