Undoubtedly one of our favourite photos from our years travelling around Ireland
There's a little hill outside the Post Office in Eyeries - even calling it a hill is a bit of a stretch but it's enough to get you up a little bit higher than the surrounding buildings. Park up, walk to the top of the little grassy patch and take in this fantastic view that greets you as you look across the rooftops of the most colourful place in Ireland
A trip around the Beara Peninsula is a feast for the senses before you even reach Eyeries. Coming from Kenmare, the journey along the north-western coast of the peninsula sees you pass some of the best scenery in Ireland. There's the coastal scenery of Kenmare Bay, the incredible mountain landscapes around Gleninchaquin Park and you even have tonnes of Irish history to delve into with stone circles and ancient monuments seemingly around every corner
Having passed through the village of Ardgroom, the road then descends down to Eyeries and you're greeted with a burst of colour that would brighten any day” ❤️
