A few more roads have opened for 4wd access. Looking good for our Flinders trip. Lets hope there is not too much rain in the next lot forecast for the area. For those not aware, the authorities close down the roads in the outback during rain events to reduce the damage to them as they are vital links for locals.

Good news to see the roads are opening up with our upcoming Flinders trip only 49 days away. Wooo!

Sad news! Third year in a row the insurance company has put up the public liability insurance. 30% increase over 3 years! Someone is winning and it sure isn’t my small business. There seems to a concerted effort by government and insurance companies to stop all of us from enjoying the outdoors and our environment with 4wds.

Summary of our first Easy Lockyer Valley Tour held yesterday on Mother's Day. A thank you to all who attended. It was a wet start to the day but cleared about mid-morning to a lovely day. Thank you to The Hen House Cafe and Catering and The Barn and Scotty's Garage for hosting our breakfast and lunch. Also thanks to Scenic Rim Lavender for supplying the $25 Mother's Day gift basket at wholesale price so our mothers were able to get more.
