The Southern Hairy-Nosed Wombat (Lasiorhinus latifrons) thrives in Eyre Peninsula's limestone plains, where its powerful claws carve out extensive burrow networks. These social marsupials have adapted perfectly to the region's arid conditions - their efficient kidneys conserve water, and they feed at night to avoid the heat.

Eyre Peninsula offers some of the best opportunities to observe these determined diggers in their natural habitat. Look for their distinctive cube-shaped droppings near warrens, a telltale sign of wombat activity.

I captured this stunning moment yesterday at Mikkira Station, South Australia. The golden hour light was absolutely magical, and this beautiful galah posed perfectly against the backdrop of the iconic gum trees. There’s something so peaceful about being surrounded by nature’s beauty—a reminder to slow down and appreciate the little things.

These incredible sand dunes in Coffin Bay National Park are a masterpiece of nature’s forces. Formed over thousands of years, they’re the result of strong southerly winds picking up sand from the coastline and carrying it inland. The marram grass helps trap and stabilize the sand, allowing it to pile up into these massive, ever-shifting formations.

The dunes are part of a larger system along the Eyre Peninsula, shaped by the interplay of wind, ocean currents, and time. It’s a dynamic process—sand is constantly moving, creating a landscape that’s both ancient and ever-changing.

A true testament to the power of geology!

Just when you think the ocean can't get any more breathtaking...

Yesterday, I captured this incredible moment with my drone—a bronze whaler shark in hot pursuit of Australian salmon! The water was an unreal shade of blue, so clear and pristine it felt like a dream. What made it even more surreal was knowing there were over 60 sharks patrolling the bay, a reminder of how alive and dynamic this ecosystem truly is.

Watching the power and precision of these predators in their natural habitat is both humbling and awe-inspiring. Moments like these remind me why I’m so passionate about the ocean and its incredible wildlife.

Just captured the moon in all its glory over Port Lincoln. There’s something magical about the way it lights up the night sky, casting a shimmering path across the water. Moments like these remind me how small we are in this vast universe, yet how connected we are to its beauty.

There’s a quiet power in the pristine waters and untouched shores of Port Lincoln. Standing here, where the ocean meets the land, I’m reminded of the raw beauty and simplicity of nature. The clarity of the water, the vastness of the horizon—it’s humbling to witness something so pure and unspoiled.

I feel deeply privileged to call this place home, to live where the earth feels alive and untamed. It’s a reminder to cherish the moments of stillness, to protect the beauty around us, and to find inspiration in the world as it was meant to be.

🌅 **Red Kangaroo Magic** 🦘

Captured during golden hour, this red kangaroo embodies the beauty of Australia’s outback. Did you know they can leap up to 9 meters and survive months without water? These iconic marsupials are true survivors, thriving in the harsh landscapes of the Eyre Peninsula.

Coffin Bay National Park is one of those places that feels like it’s been plucked straight out of a postcard. With its dramatic limestone cliffs, untouched beaches, and thriving wildlife, it’s a true hidden gem of the Eyre Peninsula.

From the serene Almonta Beach to the secluded Templetonia Beach, these stretches of sand are as pristine as they come—perfect for a quiet walk or a moment of reflection. And keep your eyes peeled for emus wandering through the bushland or kangaroos grazing near the dunes. If you’re lucky, you might even spot dolphins or sea lions along the coastline!

If you’re looking for a quick but unforgettable 4WD experience, the Gunyah Beach track is a must-do. This short drive packs a punch, taking you through a stunning mix of limestone rocks, coastal bushes, and rolling sand dunes before opening up to the breathtaking Gunyah Beach. The untouched shoreline feels like your own private paradise, perfect for a quiet stroll or just soaking in the views. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why we love exploring the Eyre Peninsula—raw, wild, and utterly beautiful.

One of my absolute favourite places to take tours is Lincoln National Park. Seriously, this place never fails to blow me away! From the rugged cliffs and hidden beaches to the crystal-clear waters and wildlife around every corner, it’s a playground for anyone who loves adventure, nature, and photography.

When we hit the trails in the 4WD, it’s all about those “wow” moments—whether it’s spotting kangaroos grazing in the distance, catching the perfect sunset over the ocean, or just feeling that sense of peace when you’re surrounded by raw, untouched beauty.
