What were you doing at 6.30 on this beautiful morning? At Moomin, Scotty and Shane were laying down the platform for us. The big job of setting up the boxing ready for the concrete was done by the volunteers last weekend. With the sun out and the sound of the birds it is a magical place. Won't it be amazing when Moomin once again sees the return of steam!

💡 Standing 34 metres high, the Point Moore Lighthouse is the oldest surviving Commonwealth lighthouse in Western Australia. This iconic Geraldton landmark is still in operation today and can be seen from 26 kilometres out to sea.

Constructed by Chance Brothers of Birmingham, England, using prefabricated cast-iron, the Point Moore Lighthouse was lit for the first time on 19 March 1878.
