When you visit KV go for a short drive up walkers lane and you will find this awesome small rd side veggie store right next to the farm.
We stop by and picked up some fresh veggies.
Might see a small family of ducks also.

Hi Everyone
NSW Health urges anyone in NSW with even the mildest symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until they receive a negative result.

Testing is what keeps NSW on top of COVID-19. More tests mean they can rule out areas and helps keep life as we know it moving and businesses open.

take care everyone.

NSW Health wishes to advise of new venues on the NSW south coast visited by a confirmed case of COVID-19.

The website will be updated with these case locations shortly.

It is also providing specific advice for people who attended various sections of the Merrylands RSL at the same time as a confirmed case of COVID-19, as well as updated advice for those who visited a cricket ground and a restaurant in Parramatta.

Anyone who attended the following south coast venues at the times listed below should monitor for symptoms and, if they occur, get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative result:

- Kangaroo Valley , Nostalgia Factor Shop, 167 Moss Vale Road, Kangaroo Valley: Sunday 27 December 11.20am – 11.30am

- Huskisson, Taj Indian Restaurant, 2/47 Owen St, Huskisson Sunday 27 December, 4.45pm – 5.20pm

The advice for the following previously announced venue has been revised to reflect that anyone who played cricket at the listed time should immediately get tested and self-isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result:

- Parramatta, Ollie Webb Cricket Ground (cricket ground), 37A Glebe St, Parramatta: Monday 28 December, 7.30am – 11am

The advice for anyone who was present in the grandstand at the listed time should immediately get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result. They should continue to monitor for symptoms and test again if any symptoms develop:

- Parramatta, Ollie Webb Cricket Ground (grandstand), 37A Glebe St, Parramatta: Monday 28 December, 7.30am – 11am

The advice for the following previously announced venue has been revised to reflect that anyone who attended at the listed time should immediately get tested and self-isolate until you receive a negative result:

- Parramatta, Saravanaa Bhavan, 1/99 Phillip St, Parramatta: Monday 28 December 9.50am – 10.50am

Anyone who attended the following sections of the Merrylands RSL at the listed times should immediately get tested and self-isolate until you receive a negative result, and continue to monitor for symptoms and test again if any symptoms develop:

- Merrylands RSL (Ariah Room), 8/12 Miller St: Monday 28 December, 4pm – 4.55pm

- Merrylands RSL (Smoking Gaming Area), 8/12 Miller St: Monday 28 December, 4.55pm – 5.15pm

- Merrylands RSL (Sports Lounge), 8/12 Miller St: Monday 28 December, 5.15pm – 6pm

Anyone who attended any other area of the RSL at the listed time should monitor for symptoms and if they appear, isolate and get tested until you receive a negative result:

- Merrylands RSL (all other areas), 8/12 Miller St, Merrylands: Monday 28 December, 4pm – 6pm

A high-volume, drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic is open at Merrylands Park, at the corner of Burnett Street and Merrylands Road, from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.

There are more than 350 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit:
https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others/clinics or contact your GP.

NSW Health urges anyone in NSW with even the mildest symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until they receive a negative result.

A complete list of venues of concern, and the related health advice, is available on the NSW Health website: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/case-locations-and-alerts.aspx

Well 12 months on since the Currowan fire hit KV causing so much devastation to property and the environment but is nice to see the bush slowly regenerating but will be years in the process. The community support for those that lost property and also the brigade was very humbling but not unexpected from such a wonderful place. Brigade members fought the fires for over 3 months up and down the coast with trucks out everyday for 8 weeks on this fire and while it was very deflating for members with the losses locally at least everyone was safe. Today is a day to remember and look out for each other. Thanks for your support

Kangaroo Valley’s response has been amazing since our recent announcement about the Explore Kangaroo Valley app. We understand that the community has some questions about the app, so we have put together a web page with some FAQs.

There is only so much information we can release at this stage as we are still developing the app. Hopefully, we can answer some of the questions you have been pondering about since our recent announcement.

If you have any questions, please send them through to the email address that we have attached to this post. We can’t wait to share some more information with you. We are also planning on doing a live community webinar on our website. If you are interested in the webinar, please comment down below.

Kangaroo Valley is getting a brand-new app!

Kangaroo Valley is a wonderful place and a lot of tourists from Sydney and Canberra visit Kangaroo Valley for a holiday. However, we have noticed a problem. Tourists find it hard to look for up to date information on businesses, things to do, toilets, and activities.

Because of this, we have decided to create an app that is available for both iPhones and Android phones. The app will be able to do the following:
• Give information on where are the toilets.
• Provide up to date information on local businesses.
• Provide a list of things to do in Kangaroo Valley (outdoor adventure, bush walks, and day trips).
• Plan trips before arriving at Kangaroo Valley.
• Meet locals digitally.
• Local businesses can update information easily through the app or through our Web Manager (coming soon).
• Find upcoming local events.

This is an exciting opportunity for businesses and locals to connect with tourists. This app was created to make it easier for tourists to connect with the local community and to feel like they are a part of Kangaroo Valley no matter where they located.

Explore Kangaroo Valley will be available to download for free. We are also giving all Kangaroo Valley businesses a chance to be on the app for free (over a 12-month period). We are also asking locals who would like to be on the ‘Meet the Locals’ section to get in contact with us so we can film a video (check out the video we filmed with Gavin from the Kangaroo Valley Wood Gallery).

Please note, we are not apart of the Kangaroo Valley Business Chamber & Tourism association. However, we would like to work with every business owner in Kangaroo Valley to make this a success. We are an independent app that aims to provide accurate information to locals, businesses, and tourists.

Explore Kangaroo Valley app doesn’t have a set release date yet, but we are aiming to release the app before the Christmas/New Year’s holiday season.

If you have any features or suggestions for the app, please let us know by using the Facebook Messenger feature on our page or send us a message on our Instagram page.

*Businesses shown in the attached photo are there for example/demo purposes. They may or may not be in the public release version of the app.
