The hubbub of summertime is over, the kids are back in school, winter is slowly upon us. What does that mean?
SHOULDER SEASON!!!
What is "Shoulder Season", you ask? Well, it's an colloquial term used in our beautiful travel industry to indicate the time between high/low travel periods on the calendar year, and also when the seasons begin to shift with the Northern & Southern hemispheres.
These are the times when the weather can be a bit unpredictable (destination-dependent, of course), but a definite is that airfares & hotels rates will always be a lot lower than other times of the year.
Shoulder seasons usually fall between mid-April to early-June & mid-September to early-December. Basically try and avoid any major school & nationa/public holidays and you'll generally find yourself in Shoulder Season.
