We've always loved Kilcunda for its chill beachside vibes ๐ŸŒŠ, but with so many recent changes there's even more of Kilcunda to love. A new wave of businesses and management is breathing life into this hip seaside town โ›ฑ.

Visit The Sticks Kilcunda, an architectural dreamscape of curved concrete, glass and light, home to artisan stores. Shop for hyper-local produce and Italian-leaning deli items ๐Ÿฅ“ at Udder & Hoe.

KGS Kilcunda pulls triple duty as a cafรฉ, post office and general store. Dine in the airy white brick space with retro fittings or generous leafy courtyard ๐Ÿƒ for coffee or brunch.

The Kilcunda Ocean View Hotel (aka the Killy Pub) ๐Ÿฝ now boasts beautiful ocean views from the newly landscaped outdoors ๐ŸŒ… where you can enjoy pub classics peppered with Central and South American flavours.

Gippslandโ€™s favourite garlic festival ๐Ÿง„ is back on Saturday 8 March, with a new home at the Korumburra Showgrounds.

The South Gippsland Garlic Festival (formerly Meeniyan Garlic Festival) is Victoriaโ€™s biggest celebration of Australian garlic, with over 70 stalls featuring garlic products, growers ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพ, and cooking tips. Enjoy garlic-infused dishes, local beers, wines ๐Ÿท, live entertainment ๐ŸŽธ, and activities for the kids.

Renowned chefs ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ, including Chef Alejandro Saravia of Farmer's Daughters, alongside Jodie Odrowaz and Michael Clark from Messmates Dining, will lead cooking demonstrations ๐Ÿฝ.

The fun doesnโ€™t stop at the festival gate with pubs ๐Ÿบ, cafes and bakeries ๐Ÿž throughout Korumburra offering up garlic-themed creations.

Be Inspired by Gippsland

Gippsland is an extraordinarily diverse region, located to the east of Melbourne and stretching all the way to the NSW border. The region announces itself with verdant hills, expansive coastline and inland waterways. It's also known for its quality food and wine, and an abundance of wildlife both on land and at sea.

From Wilsons Prom in the south, to Walhalla in the foothills of the alpine region and across the Gippsland Lakes and Mallacoota, the region stretches a breadth and width the size of Switzerland There is so much to inspire you here, both in stunning nature-based experiences as well as attractions and food and wine.

With over 600 kilometres of coastline, Gippsland is spoilt with its choice of beaches. From wild, windswept coastlines to calm protected bays, there is so much diversity to explore. The region also offers you the opportunity to see wildlife โ€˜in the wildโ€™, with kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, koalas and emus relaxed in their natural environment.

Gippslandโ€™s food, wine and beer scene is expanding year on year with renowned chefs and winemakers moving to set up exciting new venues in the region, drawn by its array of premium, cool climate wines, quality cheese, free range meats, seafood and organic fruit and vegetables. Our region now boasts two hatted restaurants and many awarded wineries of which we are all very proud.
