It is with great regret that we share with you, that at this stage, we will not be holding a Market in 2024.
Unfortunately we are unable to secure a suitable date with the venue, and after much deliberation (and consultation), we have decided that we will hold off holding an event this year, but with every intention of coming back for an end of year 2025 event.
We know that many people (including us) will be upset by this news, but we want to make sure that our events are successful for everyone involved, from the stallholders and vendors to the visitors (and organisers), and the date plays a very important role in that.
If anything changes, we promise you will be the first to know!

We are very sorry to see the damage that the recent storms caused for the community of Mirboo North, but we are proud of the efforts of the amazing Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund, and encourage anyone who can to get behind them. It's great to see them step in to action and help those in need.

We were very proud to pass on this donation to Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund, and to spend time talking to their amazing team. We love that our markets provide this kind of connection to our community.

We are so excited to reveal that the total amount we are donating to Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund from our December 3rd Makers Market is ... $5,000!! 💸💸
This includes $2575 from the car parking fee and obstacle course donations, and then the decision to (almost) double that!
With such a busy time of year, we've been unable to snap a pic of delivering the super cheque to the team, so we pinched a pic of Nigel and Adam from market day. We were so privileged to have them there for the day, and we can't wait to see the good they'll be able to continue to do.
And a big Thank you for all of our ongoing supporters, we couldn't do any of this without you!

We just have to share this beautiful comment about an experience from one of our volunteers from this weekend:

"What a day. What a fantasic day. No only did I get to spend the day with my family doing something they enjoy but I also had the joy of seeing the faces of so many kids knowing that their folks had a gold coin so they could go on the obstacle course. Then to top it all off there was a young girl who thought she had a "gold coin" only to discover she did not and I told her it was my shout. She asked me what "my shout" meant and I told her "I would pay for you". She smiled, and said thanks. Some 10 minutes later after her 3 rounds she came back and gave me $2 and said thank you with a big smile on her face. This absolutely made my day. Thank you."

So thank you to this beautiful young girl and her family. We live in such a beautiful community 😍

Thank you to everyone who has supported this event of ours. To all of our amazing stall holders. To everyone who came and made it the event that it was.
Huge thank you to the beautiful stallholders to declined reimbursement for market cash vouchers and supported our amazing volunteers, this always makes our day, and never goes unappreciated, especially for our volunteers as a not-for-profit.
Thank you for the caring support that we received for Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund - when we count it up we'll share how much we were able to raise for them, and thanks to the lovely volunteers from GERF hanging around for the day.
Thank you our beautiful sponsors, Baw Baw Shire Council and Australian Solid Fuel Testing - you gave us the ability to do what we did today.
And the biggest thank you of all goes to our families that helped us out this weekend! We could never pull this off without you.
This event doesn't happen over night, and feels like it passes in a flash. But it is totally worth it for the smiles that we get to see all day.

We have the 1st Churchill Scouts with some crafts, Ready Steady Go Kids with some activities to run off some steam, with amazing interactions with their animals, Dj Nige. for your tunes, and don't forget to see GERF for your tickets for the Inflatable Obstacle Course! Then for Christmas ideas, check out something unique like Campbell for their permanent jewellery, The Bottleologist with his fascinating bottles not to forget, Boxed Keepsakes for Christmas eve boxes, for some unqiue tshirts, or for some local made Gin? **1st Churchill Scouts**
We're excited to have the young team from 1st Churchill Scouts coming along on Sunday. They will have some great craft activities available for the littlies, and also selling some great little Christmas gifts that the Scouts made themselves. The Scouts are fundraising to help them with some amazing adventures they have planned. Come and chat with the leaders about what happens at your local Scouts group and how to get involved.

Another one of our long time supporters is A.P. Prints and Designs. Amy creates a large range of prints to liven up any space, along with her range of handmade wooden hangers, which are a great way to change out different prints. She also offers unique prints that fit an entire book on to one page📖. This year she will also be offering some cheeky gift tags and other items to help jazz up your Christmas gifts.

FAQs for Market Day...
💵Is there a cost to get in? There is a $3.00 fee per vehicle for parking at Lardner Park. This year, all of this money will be going to GERF! 💰
💳Are there ATMs? No, there are no ATMs at Lardner. Most stallholders now offer a form of EFTPOS, but make sure that you bring some cash along just in case!
🐕Can I bring my dog? Unfortunately, no. This is a rule of Lardner Park that furry friends need to be left at home please.🐶
🦽Are facilities accessible? Yes! For parking, just let the parking attendants know, and they will direct you to the accessible parking facilities.
