We have just returned from 10 days in Thailand with some friends and family and have had an amazing time.

We spent the first 3 nights at the Splash Beach Resort Phuket. This resort is only 15 minutes from the airport and is amazing for kids and families.

At a fraction of the price of neighbouring hotels this resort has a water park that has direct access from the hotel. A massive resort that requires a golf buggy to get from one end to the other!

It has a beautiful beach where aviation enthusiasts can have a rare opportunity of having an airplane plans almost on top of you! It’s that close to the airport

Each 3 night stay gets water park access for free and all the required amenities are either at the resort itself or within 10 minutes walk.

Breakfast included and massive rooms that are well catered.

Would highly recommend for a few nights next time you are headed to Phuket.

One of my favourite experiences of my travels is the year I spend in London over Christmas and New Years 2008

With a foot of snow that had fallen. A stroll down the high street because all public transport had come to a stand still and experiencing my first Christmas away from the heat of an aussie summer.

Bring on 2023….The year of travel

I was lucky enough to join a “mail run” Cessna float plane trip to a few remote ports off the north west coast of British Columbia. It was an absolutely amazing adventure!

If you want an “off the beaten path” experience then consider arriving into Vancouver and heading west instead of east into the Rockies.

A hidden gem just a short ferry ride west from Vancouver is Vancouver Island.

The butchart gardens, BC’s capital Victoria and the remote wilderness lodges in the north offer everything you could hope for a Canad’Eh! experience

One of my favourite places in the world. The Canadian Rockies are beautiful and majestic in all seasons.

A friend posted a picture and it’s 22 degrees and bluebird in Banff National Park in October.

Considering the ski season usually kicks off in October this is a rare treat indeed.

I work usually one day a week helping some friends and old clients get away so if you are looking to head away I would be more than happy to assist.
