Online Travel Training Program starting tomorrow!

We’re excited to get started with our new 8 week online Travel Training Program - Learning how to book, plan and navigate the complexities of travel!

Travel can be overwhelming, and adding adhd and autism into the mix can sometimes multiply that!

So in this 8 week program we go through independent travel planning step by step.

We only have two spots left, so send us a DM if you are wanting to join!
Sessions will be held Wednesdays 5pm - 6.30pm (in Sydney time, but can be accessed from anywhere).

So great to meet some new families and a couple of travellers who have joined us already, who shared their positive experiences 🙏🏼
We had pizza, conversations and gave out sunflower lanyards 🌻

Some even came from 2-3 hours away!

We can’t wait to serve the Brisbane community and surrounds.

Travengers Spotlight: We've been a big follower of Ella's journey in Athletics, a Bronze medalist in Rio, she will soon compete at her third Paralympics! Aged just three, Ella was diagnosed with autism and has been an advocate and big inspiration for many in the Neurodivergent and broader sporting community since.

We also have our very own travel partner Steph in Paris cheering the Paralympians on!

📢 New Group Options for Over 35s

We know autism and/or hidden disability doesn't end after 35, and after increasing amounts of requests, we have now opened social group and group trip options for over 35's!

This group opens a chance to get out in the community and connect with like-minded folks in a similar age group.

Upcoming Over 35s activities include night markets, a visit to the art gallery of NSW and our first international trip to New Zealand's South Island this November. And more to come!

Traveling in a group offers neurodivergent individuals vital opportunities to build social connections and develop life skills. Our recent trip to Orlando highlighted the benefits of these experiences.

Over 12 days travelling together, the group had plenty of time for practicing communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

They forged a unique bond and are still in touch, they're in fact having a virtual catch up in the coming days!!! 😍🫂

Check out 📸 from the first of two amazing trips exploring the beauty of Fiji we have this month!🌺🌴

From snorkeling in crystal-clear waters and swimming out on the islands to visiting the vibrant Port Denarau, the local temple, and the charming village in Nadi, days were filled with cultural discovery. 🏝️🏊‍♂️ We even got to experience a traditional kava ceremony!

Packing List for sensory-friendly 🧳 ✈️We provide a full packing list prior to our trips. We do this to prevent overwhelm, and to packing independently, and then eventually you might not need one at all! Side note: not all autistic travellers are anxious, andnot all autistic people read. Everyone's different! Save this for your next trip!

From our spontaneous long weekend Port Macquarie trip😍 We had such a blast - reunited almost one year after our first trip together! With International Day of People with Disabilities coming up, I wanted to share a comment I loved from our trip. At our last accommodation the lady in the reception came up to me and said «I just love those Down Syndrome people you’re with!» I turned around to the team who were standing right there and said «did you hear what the lady said?» She looked a bit surprised and repeated to them «I just love you Down Syndrome people, you’re always so polite and sweet». Katrina replied «Oh, well we’re just people. But thank you, that’s kind of you». The lady obviously just meant well. But it’s such a common thing. We’re all humans here. Katrina wants a career in advocacy and I reckon you’ll be a killer!👊🏼 - Agnes

About us

Travengers AU is a travel service connecting young people with social support needs across Australia to travel. We arrange trips including backpacking, concerts, road trips, theme parks, adventures, weekends or longer trips, and match you with young Support Workers. We’re here for the ones who want to become more independent and enjoy life! (15-35’s). What we do: - We have a chat with you to find out more about you - Create and book your ideal trip, individual or small groups - Match you with likeminded travellers and Support Workers - Manage your trip from start to end - Work for awareness and acceptance of hidden disabilities Travengers was inspired by Agnes having a young sister with autism, and meeting several others in similar situations through a decade working and studying in the Disability sector. Agnes graduated as a Disability nurse in Norway in 2014, and has since then been passionate about creating good quality of life for young adults with different abilities. Many young people with support needs fall “in between” We’re highly passionate about inclusion, independence, and good quality of life. Through travelling, Travengers aim to inspire and empower youth and young adults, teach useful skills, and make life long memories. Because what do most young people have in common? We want to have friends, be independent, and - travel. Travengers is based in Sydney, Northern Beaches, but have networks across Australia and are more than happy to discuss your needs across states. For self- and plan managed NDIS participants and others.
