If youโre camping along the Murrumbidgee River near Narrandera Tourism, you might find that youโve got some tree-dwelling neighbours.
Koalas love this part of the world. Youโll find them climbing, snacking on leaves and basking in the warm sun. If youโre lucky you might even hear them, call out to a mate in a neighbouring tree.
Being surrounded by nature is just one of the incredible things about camping in the Murrumbidgee Trails.
Thanks to Instagrammer @freshwater.eco.woman for letting us share your video. If you too want the chance to be featured, make sure to tag us or share with #MurrumbidgeeTrails.

Meet Narrandera's koalas ๐จ | @sueruffles_narrandera
There was a time when koalas were no longer seen in these parts. Thankfully the furry locals were reintroduced a few decades ago into the Narrandera Tourism area from Victoria and Queensland and have been thriving ever since. Despite a few challenges, the local population has risen to well over 200 ๐จ
If youโd like to spot a koala in the wild like Instagrammer @sueruffles_narrandera, the Narrandera Flora and Fauna Reserve is the perfect place. There are picnic facilities here too, so pack lunch and fuel up before you head out on foot or bike for some koala spotting.
