We started our Dalmatian Coast island hopping and travelled from Dubrovnik to the island of Korcula, with stops along the way at Ston, Korta Katrina Winery and Orebic 🚌. We enjoyed a fabulous day today exploring the old and new areas of Korcula and had another tasting at Bire winery with dinner under the vineyard to follow.

Venturing deep into the heart of the Borneo Rainforest, we’ve arrived in the breathtaking Danum Valley. This pristine, untouched virgin rainforest paradise is home to the luxurious Borneo Rainforest Lodge, where our stunning pool villa rooms offer serene views over the river below.

Here, we’ve had the incredible experience of completing the Borneo Big Five, including an unforgettable sighting of an orangutan named Kate, after the Princess of Wales. We’ve also encountered a variety of monkeys and fascinating creepy crawlies, including a resident tarantula spider.

Our adventures have taken us hiking up Coffin Cliff for spectacular views, swimming in the cool and refreshing natural whirlpool bath pool, enjoying amazing massages, and dining on delicious cuisine. This journey through the wild and wonderful Borneo Rainforest has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Next, we head to gorgeous Gaya Island.

The Croatia Tour has started with the most fabulous day!!! Walking above the old city walls, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, taking in the amazing views from every direction. Later we all enjoyed such a memorable afternoon & evening at a local Croatian family’s massive property and home, offering such wonderful hospitality. Locally made wine was flowing all night and a scrumptious cuisine followed, while we were entertained with a lovely vibrant local duo.
We were laughing, singing, joking and mingling as though we have known each other for a lifetime. That’s what I love about travelling with like minded women!! It is so much fun.

Today, we were incredibly fortunate to witness an event that few ever get to see: the Borneo Pygmy Elephants swimming across the river. This remarkable sight, with the elephants gracefully moving through the water, showcases their surprising agility and strength. Seeing these magnificent creatures in such an intimate and natural setting highlights the untouched beauty of Borneo's wilderness.

Our encounter with the Borneo Pygmy Elephants was a moment of pure wonder, a rare glimpse into the lives of these elusive animals. It serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving their habitat and protecting these gentle giants for future generations to admire and cherish.

Encountering Orangutans, Sun Bears, and Proboscis Monkeys: An Incredible Day in Sepilok, Borneo

Our day in Sepilok, Borneo, was truly extraordinary. We observed orangutans in their natural habitat, watched the playful sun bears, and were captivated by the unique proboscis monkeys. This experience provided a deep connection with nature and unforgettable memories.

Borneo So Far: An Unforgettable Journey

Our small group adventure in Borneo began in the charming city of Kuching, where we immediately immersed ourselves in the local culture through its vibrant food scene. We savored the best of Malaysian cuisine, discovering a delightful array of flavors and dishes unique to this region. One of the highlights was a sunset cruise down the Sarawak River. As we drifted along the tranquil waters, we were treated to a captivating cultural dance performance that offered a glimpse into the rich heritage of the Sarawak people.

Next, we made our way to Kota Kinabalu, a city steeped in history and natural beauty. Our visit included a trip to the Kundasang War Memorial, which left a profound impact on us. Here, we learned about the harrowing Borneo Death March and honored the memory of the many Australian soldiers who lost their lives during this tragic event in World War II. The memorial's serene gardens provided a place for reflection and remembrance.

While in Kota Kinabalu, we also ventured to the Poring Hot Springs, where we experienced the thrill of the canopy walk. Suspended high above the ground, the walk offered breathtaking views of the surrounding rainforest and a chance to observe the diverse plant and animal life from a unique vantage point.

No visit to Kota Kinabalu would be complete without mentioning Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in Southeast Asia. Although we didn't undertake the full climb, just seeing this majestic mountain up close was awe-inspiring, and it remains a bucket-list item for future adventures.

After a long and scenic five-hour drive, we finally arrived in Sandakan, ready to embark on our much-anticipated jungle adventure. Sandakan, known as the gateway to Borneo's rich rainforests, promises an exciting opportunity to spot the "Big 5" of Borneo: the pygmy elephant, the proboscis monkey, the orangutan, the rhinoceros hornbill, and the estuarine crocodile. We are eager to explore the lush jungles and witness the incredible biodiversity that makes Borneo a unique and vital part of our planet's ecosystem.

We’ve arrived in Nusa Dua, Bali, for some well-deserved relaxation after the vibrant and bustling experience of Ubud! Our hotel is simply stunning, offering incredible food and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed an unforgettable dinner in Uluwatu at a sunset beach club overlooking the ocean. The evening included watching the mesmerizing Kecak fire dance. We also visited the famous Padang Padang Beach, known from "Eat, Pray, Love," and explored the stunning Suluban Beach. Now, it’s time to unwind and soak in the serene beauty of Bali with our wonderful women's group tour!

Absolutely stunning Ring of Kerry, in County Kerry. This morning we ventured out on a fantastic boat trip out to Skellig Islands with dolphins greeting us on our journey. Though not easy to capture on camera these fast moving majestic friendly mammals.

The Skellig Islands are home to thousands of birds, with so many different species; we spotted a variety of Storm Petrels, Northern Gants, Black-Legged Kittiwakes, Common Guillemots, Razorbills, Puffins both in the air and nestling on the islands. Apparently 70,000 Gannets breed here in the warmer months and are considered a symbol of a perfect marriage between wind and sea. We were blessed with stunning blue skies and calm waters! So lucky.
