Sicily is magnificent. Ancient, arty, run-down but glorious. Not necessarily good for prams or wheelchairs but colours and scenery and history and culture abound. 5 stars from the research team!

Having farewelled his group at Bologna train station, Billy survived the scrum (literally!) that was Bologna airport to get to Palermo, Sicily for "research". Boldly driving where no car has gone before (ie through the city's exclusion zone - uh oh! More friendly letters from Polizia di Stato to be expected!) the view from the bathroom window is a cracker! Safe travels to everyone. 🤞🏼Fingers crossed our intrepid leader makes it home without crossing paths with the mafioso or having his car end up on bricks!

Wonderful day yesterday: Maria from GOOD FOOD GOOD MOOD - Food Experience led us to create a wonderful meal from local ingredients in an idyllic setting beside Lake Garda. We are almost done but so many memories!

And these are just the ones I took photos of! The Ristorante Tivoli Cortina - Famiglia Prest was such an amazing experience! In an attractive Alpine house outside Cortina at the foot of the Tofane mountains, we enjoyed both traditional cuisine and more creative fare. Using top-quality ingredients from this mountainous region, as well as fresh fish sourced daily from the markets at Venice and Chioggia, owner Graziano Prest creates delicious dishes full of generous flavours. Wine is another of his passions, hence the top-quality labels, historic vintages and renowned French bottles that can be found in the wine cellar here. Yes we did!
