Personally, having discussed this exact issue with a friend, I think that unless the guest was isolating in your property for at least 3 weeks before a positive test then there is NO WAY anyone could prove the guest caught the virus at your property. What do you think?

With the recent cancellation disasters, particularly at the hands of the OTAs, it's time to start really becoming more independent. Less OTA control, and more direct bookings. Holiday for a Hero was born yesterday.

Vera, a property owner/manager in Queensland posted an idea that most of us had probably only thought about, and last night the seed was sprouted! Holiday rental property managers and owners, donating holiday accommodation for the Fireys.

They deserve this. And we can do this for them. It's the least we can do.

Property managers and owners, please register your donation on the link in the comments. Let's show them the true hospitality that IS the holiday rental industry!

We are also working on getting airlines, coaches, hotels, tourist attractions and cinemas to offer free transport, accommodation and tickets! Let's give them a great holiday! Stay tuned as this grows. AND PLEASE SHARE!

Time to help! Managers & owners are faced with cancellations. Guests are faced with not being able to get to their holiday rentals, a potentially disastrous festive season for a lot of people. It is already a disaster for those who have lost loved ones, homes and those fighting the fires day and night.
Have You Got wants to help and will waive their commission until the end of January for all Australian bookings. The only problem is that there aren't many properties on there yet. So please, if you are an Australian property manager or owner please join and upload your property. And if you are facing cancellation, please try Have You Got. By relocating the guest within the Have You Got network, you can earn a commission, which means you wont be entirely out of pocket if you're giving refunds. Lets help each other. Help spread the word to all Australian property managers and owners. Upload your property, and help relocate any cancelling guest. At times like this we need to work together. Help get word out.
