When we first purchased the property back in 2019, we set about creating a holiday home for us to use as a base when we traveled back to Australia. We never imagined in a million years that we would create something that could possibly feature in a magazine, let alone Home Beautiful. We have genuinely been heartened by your support and interest in the property. Throughout the past 2 years, this property has been much more than just a home for us to enjoy, it has allowed us to meet some amazing people along the way who have provided us with support and advice throughout our journey. It's also been 2 years of fueling our desire to engage in more creative and design-led projects which has led to a couple of exciting projects on the horizon for us this year (both property and non-property related).

As everyone knows with a renovation it takes an incredible amount of work from a number of people to get it across the line. We also had a fairly ambitious timeline, one which many people told us was unrealistic (as we had no clue back then!). Thankfully this did not dissuade our team and we are grateful to have worked with .design on this project. 100% could not have done it without them and the talented team of tradies!

Many years ago I purchased one of these vintage lace plates from Kim Wallace Ceramics for my sister-in-law without knowing Kim’s studio was based in Noosa. To our pleasant surprise, when we purchased our property in Little Cove, we found out we were only a 15 min drive to her studio. So, if you happen to be in Noosa, it’s the perfect spot to pick up a little momento of your trip to Noosa ✨

Swipe left 👉🏻 to see how we transformed the facade of the property and create a large light filled room which transitions beautifully between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The original house had 2 single garages on either side of the entrance. By extending one garage to the boundary line of the property, we were able to a create a double garage which allowed us to convert the other garage into a media room for guests. Win win 🙌

We call this the Noosa National Park bedroom or the grandparents retreat as we designed this with our parents in mind.
Noa is the perfect property for multi-generational families to get together but if you do need a break, then there’s plenty of spots to choose from... with my favourite being the hanging chair in the alfresco area. Alternatively, grab a book and relax in one of the many reading spots in the lounge or the media room, by the pool or in the front or back garden. And for a really quiet spot, head upstairs to the reading room! To check out the layout of the property in more detail, head to our website to view the floor plans.
