Bloc Audio is the combined efforts of touring sound engineer Chris Braun and systems tech-come-acoustician David Cuthberson. It started as a way to look after the "little guys", to bring top quality equipment and production packages to artists and groups that would normally assume this privilege to be out of their budget but... Why should only the larger, record label supported acts be the ones to

afford touring production? At Bloc Audio, we keep one thing in mind, protecting the client and the show’s integrity. We strive to look after all acts, providing quality, budget conscious solutions for control, monitoring, mic & DI packages as well as live multitracking. We provide advice on both logistics and design while keeping everything airplane and travel friendly. Founding members of Bloc, Dave Cuthbertson and Chris Braun share over twenty five years of experience and knowledge in the industry and between them, have looked after production, technical operations and provided custom audio packages for a host of national and international clients including Chet Faker, Gotye, James Blake, Flight Facilities, The Rubens, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Portugal. The Man, Arrested Development and many, many more. We design high quality, budget conscious, flyable production for all audio and monitoring solutions. Our inventory of consoles, in ear monitor and package solutions are spec'd to fit within the 32kg limit per item enforced by national and international airlines. Bloc Audio recently finished a milestone tour with Ziggy Alberts. His biggest tour to date in rooms 3-4 times bigger than anything played before... and he sold them out!

18 months ago we got a call out of no where seeing if we could come and mix and show at the in melbourne.... Last night Ziggy Sold Out The Palais Theatre!!!

It's always a true pleasure to see an act grow and be apart of that moment when it all just clicks. I certainly took a moment of my own to take it all in and by the noise created throughout the night, so did the other 2,896 people in the room. Absolutely, by far, the loudest sing-alongs I've heard at a show to date.

The first weekend out with has been a cracker. These are some of the loudest, most attentive crowds we've ever witnessed, hands down!

A big weekend next week with Melbourne, Queensland and Sydney shows to tick off. If you can get tickets, do it but you might be too late.

Über busy day at today with the advance for the USA : advance for the national tour starting this weekend and Production Managing a mayday call for a week long theatre production bumping in THIS Monday. Lighting, rigging, audio, staging and crewing turned around in a day and within budget... that's enough for today!

We recently hit the road for a couple very special shows with Kimbra taking in a private performance for the opening Gala Dinner at the National Gallery of Victoria for the Dior Exhibition, an appearance at the Supersense Festival in Melbourne and a hometown show for iHeart Radio in Auckland.

The new direction KIMBRA is taking with the live show is killer and let Chris pull out all sub tricks!

Chris Braun recently escaped the Australian winter and traded it in for a UK summer.... Not sure there was much of a difference for the most part but what was different is that Sheppard were on the road with international superstar songstresses Little Mix.

On the weekend we did a gig, that gig was with Sheppard, that gig was awesome, that gig was very different.

With an all ages crowd and a fan base that spans the young through to old, it was a pleasure to be apart of what ended up being a lot of first concert experiences. With other clients past and present, this isn't something we've been privileged to be apart that much but the weekends show with Sheppard was an absolute pleasure.

A big thanks to the crew!

We're stoked be apart of Justin Biebers world tour providing the audio control package for Sheppard.

On monitors we've sent out a Digico SD11i Core 2 with a new D2 io rack along with Sennheiser 2050 IEM's and 2000 series Vocal Mic's.

Out front is a MIDAS Pro2 with 2 x DN9650 Network Bridges for multitrack and Waves purposes.

Klark Technik DN9610's are also extending the FOH multicore out 150m!

Full stage mic and do package along with a Motorola communications package are also being supplied by Bloc.

It's a real pleasure to be involved!
