Thrilled to unveil a special highlight from last year's tour at Artemis Luxury Wine Tours 🍷

Our journey took us to the heart of Tuscany, where we had the privilege of experiencing Podere Forte, a Demeter-certified estate known for its commitment to biodynamic farming. As tour director, witnessing the passion and dedication of Pasquale Forte and his team in revitalising the traditional Tuscan cultivars and ecosystems was truly inspiring.

🌿 This video captures the essence of Podere Forte's harmonious relationship with nature, showcasing their pioneering role in the "Living Rocca d’Orcia" initiative to breathe new life into Castiglione d’Orcia. Join us in celebrating the beauty of sustainable viticulture and the unforgettable memories we created together.

When nature meets a nurturing hand, together they create something incredible. Salcheto is the culmination of organic vineyards and winemaking that flows into their farm to table philosophy in their restaurant and even the winery is wrapped in vegetation, to keep it cool inside. The team were warm, inviting and so knowledgeable. Pictured is Michele Mancini, a laid back, hipster style winemaker, with all the cool and know-how to make the beautifully balanced and flavour soaked wines. They make a skinsy style wihite called 'Obvius' and then some silky smooth Vino Nobile di Montepulciano... I highly recommend a visit if you are in this part of Tuscany.

This year on our drive from Florence towards our Villa in Siena, we stopped for lunch . They have a special place in the wine world for me as this was a top selling wine at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen, many moons ago. Well, the wines and the people still live up to the good name and we had a fantastic afternoon, being served an entire line-up of Brancaia wines for lunch and then having an in-depth tasting with Massimiliano, picture in the 'Brancaia Team' T-shirt. No prizes there. Their passion, energy and belief in doing things right was evident and we loved every minute.

If you are in Florenc and you want to see what a 'True Italian Garden' looks like, then I'd suggest starting with the Boboli Gardens which is a short drive from the city centre. It's huge, so bring some good walking shoes and take your time to give this place all that it deserves.

One of my favourite wineries in Sicily is , along Mt. Etna.

I love volcanic soils in wines in general, I particularly love it from here.

The main grape is the star of the show here, which in taste and style terms is somewhere between and with a distinct softness of texture and incredibly swert-earthy aroma.

The winery is magnificent and well worth a visit.

Whilst there were many highlights to winery visits, Ornellaia was pretty special.

Leaving the main towns and driving towards the coast, there was a noticeable drop in temperature, it was fresher and cooler. Perfect for making world-class wines.

If you are interested in joining us, there are still a few places remaining for our July tour. Send me a message, and I can tell you more about this amazing tour and send you the itinerary.

🌎 Artemis Luxury Wine Tours // TUSCANY 2023 several places remaining ✈ What are your plans this European summer? Come with us and unlock this magnificent wine region.

This was the feedback from one of our guests last year;

"Thank you Kyri and your more than capable assistant Lucia, what a great week, it just built in excellence with each day, well done you two, enjoy some well earned down time. A lot to digest, but worth every minute, salute!!"

Have you ever tried Brunello di Montalcino wine before? If you haven't, you are missing out as it's one of the most revered wine not only in Italy but the entire wine world.

Here we are arriving just in time to see the sunset over this historic estate, which is part of the Frescobaldi Vini wine family. We drove up windy roads, took in the incredible views and we all stopped way too many times for photos! It was worth it.

It's easy to see why there is such magic here. History, tradition, passion and the most amazing restaurant that seats perhaps 20-30 people. The food was special. Local concept with modern flair. The wines were all beautifully paired with each dish.

- Aperitif with Leonia Brut in their garden
- Rosso di Montalcino Campo ai Sassi
- First course with Brunello di Montalcino CastelGiocondo
- Main course with Brunello Riserva Ripe al Convento
- Dessert with Pomino Vin santo

Whilst some of you may not be red drinkers, I can guarantee that you would love them. Still not a fan? No problem, have their methode traditional Leonia Brut which is just what we needed after a hot drive.

What are you doing this summer? Come travel with us and create some memories together. We always have quality people, singles, couples, older, younger. Doesn't matter. I go on personality and whether you have that travel spirit, keen to discover new things, with great people.

Full brochure available. Luxury accomodation, transfer, best dining experiences and of course tons of fun with your hosts, Kyri and Lucia.

Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads out there.

Keep up all the good work, love, care and support you provide your kids.

As hard as it can be, try not to shout at them when they act out. I've done this and it never solves anything.,

They are young and will do foolish things just like we did we were their age. Instead, ask them calmly, talk to them, show them on the best way how to handle a problem or behaviour they may show. They'll remember that.

Above all, be present with them, no phones or distractions. Always give them 100% of YOU. That's what they crave, especially when they young.

Arlington, I love you mate. You're the best. Keep being you always. ❤️🤩

We visited the iconic estate in who are creators of the famous and wines.

What our guests loved about this experience was the perfect blend of history of the winemaking family, incredible setting looking over the vineyards of Chianti Classico, Architecture & Design of this incredible space and the sheer pristine finish of their wines.
Lunch on the rooftop wasn't bad either 😉.
A big thank you to my co-host Lucia Camporese who was hugely popular with the guests and helped me keep the tour running smoothly throughout the week. Grazie Mille Lucia! 🙏🏽

Poggio Torselli, founded in 1427 is the classic Tuscan estate, complete with Olive groves, Lemon trees and vineyards.

Pasquale, the man I'm standing next to, grew up next just 10kms from the Villa and during the major flood in Florence in 1966, his family had to start again and chose Canada as their country to move to.

When the opportunity cane up to purchase it last year, Pasquale knew the Villa and decided it would make a fine family home. Only a few of the guests had a look inside with him and they were blown away by what they saw, alfresco, antique furniture, tall ceilings and exquisite artwork.

On our visit, Pasquale just so happened to be there from Canada and he greeted us with his warm smile and impeccable manner. Many of our guests shared his vision for quality and believing strongly in what you do.

The team Matteo and Cristina did a great job of hosting us and showing all that this place had to offer.

This is the quintessential Tuscan estate with the view of the Duomo in Florence just a few miles away. Magic 👌🏼

This was one of the most anticipated visits and food and wine experiences of the week. I can say hand on heart, it did not disappoint! Based in the cooler district close by to the Tuscan coast, there was a gentle and welcome breeze that lowered the overall intense heat of 38-39 everyday. There were woodlands everywhere and Bolgheri has been a protected wine zone for the last 20-30 years.

For such an esteemed Super Tuscan estate, the hospitality was warm, friendly, relaxed yet highly professional. Our guests were spoilt to a full blown tour that covered their art collection, limited edition bottles, barrel room and Archivo Storio, or Vintage Archive room full of vintages ready for auction only. Lunch was created and paired by a phenomenal chef with the very best wines of the estate including Ornellaia 2019.

We would all go back in a heartbeat.

❤️

Tuscany has several medieval towns and whilst they may seem the same, each has their own identity and style.

marked by its relatively steep incline, curved, cobbled streets and palatial style buildings, it's hard not to fall in love with each city.

We were joined by own knowledgeable guide, Silvia, who brought the history alive with her natural storytelling ability.

We learnt about the Palazzo Ricci tyat was designed by the architect which is one of the best preserved Renaissance buildings in Montepulciano. It represents the bare and unadorned style of a building type that was widespread in the 16th century.

As of 2001 it houses the
'EUROPEAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS MONTEPULCIANO' for modern German musicians.

Stunning part of Tuscany. Needs an entire day to fully appreciate it.

An excellent cellar door in Hobart to visit next time you are there. The wines are made by Nick Glaetzer and we love the energy and passion coming from this family.

If you love cool climate Tasmanian wines, I highly recommend them. My favourites had to be the (Gold dots on the label) which is left on less for around 18 months and the Pinot noir with all that silkiness and sexy oak.

Keep up the good work and we will be back! 👏🏼

It's always great coming to this pocket in Tasmania along the Cradle Coast. A gorgeous part of the world.

Perfect timing for our guests, just after harvest with vats of chardonnay, pinot noir fermenting away and their 'Supernatural' range looking at , and .

2022 was a particularly good harvest with good ripeness across all of their parcels.

Looking forward to lunch.

Fancy a tasting from this viewpoint? Pretty incredible isn't it?

Welcome back everyone and bring on 2022 in the best way possible 🌟

I have been planning this year's trip to , where I get to take my lovely guests on a tour through this world famous wine region. The last two years were - well, weird and we are all enthusiastic about travel again.

As part of my passion starting out in wine back in 2003, Italy strongly resonated with me. A big part of it is food and wine, being , that is engrained in my culture and so it's natural to be enamoured with all that Italy has to offer.

I can't wait to travel there and take you with me. If you haven't had a look at what we do, feel free to get in touch and I can send you a summary of the journey. I have a few spots remaining for 2022. Dates are July 23-30th

Happy New Year everyone! 🌟 How did you see in 2021? 🍾

Inspired by the debonair gents at Grand Luxury Group, they created this fantastic video of this 800-year old Tuscan Hamlet or 'Borgo' as it is known in Italian.

I fell in love with what they do here. Everything is sustainable from the gardens, farms, winemaking, cheese prodcution and even their own skincare range. The owners Claus and Jeannette Thottrup are inspiring with their modern take of this historic property.

This is exactly they type of experience we would like to offer our guests (when we are able to travel again). Until then, we can fantasize.

Enjoy watching. 😊

This week, we follow our founders, Ivan and Rouslan Lartisien on an escape to nature, at the Borgo Santo Pietro. The setting? An 800-year-old villa in the Tu...

Hello everyone, it has been quite some time between posts and I wanted to check in with you.

I think we've all heard enough COVID rhetoric, so I won't go into that.

What I would like to say is to all of you that have written to me and shown support, thank you!

It has genuinely been a tough time to even communicate to those of you that want to travel overseas. What can you say?

Whilst Australia has gotten its act together and Victoria has reported zero cases for the last few days, Europe (notably France and Italy) are starting to feel the impact way more.

So whilst we may be able to travel interstate soon with the possibility of New Zealand and Bali being open before the end of the year, we will have to patiently await news from our Euro cousins.

Until then, I will be whetting your travel appetites with some inspiring images of the Italy we know and love.

Keep positive, enjoy the sunshine and stay in touch.

Its in these uncertain times that we need to support our Italian friends. I am opening this excellent 🍷🍷🍷,(Three Glass rated) Blanco from bassd in in the Northern borders near Slovenia.
A blend of 50% chardonnay, 30% Friulano and 20% sauvigmon Blanc from the 2016 vintage.
This is why I lobe Italian white wine. 👌🏽💯
Raise a glass, drink and look out for each other.
Pair with prosciutto, crostini and friends..

So far it's been a magical week, visiting the wild and picturesque country. It's times like this to plan and imagine the new tours we will be doing together. Destinations will include regions like Piedmont, Veneto and parts of Greece.
This is the Biodynamically run and oldest vineyard in called Rippon. Same family as Rippon Lea in Melbourne.
Stay tuned.
