Gotta love those days spent doing what you love. Had a great day out seeing Bella's horse, Ben. Giving him a bit of TLC today, treats, a brush down and getting pampered with a visit from his farrier.

Such a great day out with Northside 4x4 exploring the tracks out at Mt Mee in the D'Aguilar national park.

We set off to Somerset Look out before getting haled down by a P Plater looking for help. His mate had a very flat battery. We first tried a pre-charged battery jump pack but it just didn't have enough juice, so out came the jumper leads. Goes to show, always go prepared!

After the lookout, we tackled K Break and A Break, stopping for a feed in between. With a convoy of 8 cars, we didn't have too much trouble with any of the tracks.

We spent the weekend out at Country Style Holiday Park down near Stanhope.

About 3.5 hours from Brisbane's northern suburbs and is highway driving all the way to the camp grounds. Once at the park, its half road and half dirt roads that are well kept.

They have two designated camping grounds, one by the water front and the other a little further back. We had stayed in a spot up near the back however we still had stunning views. Even with neighbors, they are spread out far enough that we still had uninterrupted views and didn't hear a sound from them (might be a slightly different story the other way around with our toddler).

Full sized out door kitchen with fridge/freezers, sinks, microwave and a pizza oven. All of which was very well kept, clean and ready to use.

The lake was far too cold to go swimming in but it's worth a bet that in summer, it'd be perfect.

Would highly recommend a visit! Take your fur babies too, they are a dog friendly camp grounds
