How lucky we are to have a roof over our heads. With this amazing amount of rain in Broome at the minute.
It reminds me of when I was a child living on the corner of Napier and Dampier terrace. Where the Roebuck beer garden is today.
My mom and Dad would go and pull homeless people out of the rain and give them a feed and a place to sleep on our veranda.
I don’t have a veranda so I thought I would just cook them a meal and go and feed the homeless people in our town.
Poorfulla all hiding away in any dry place they could find.
We in our houses don’t appreciate how good it is to be in doors right now let me tell you just the short time I was out handing out food was uncomfortable to say the least.
The money we waste on services to help these people each year could buy each homeless person in Australia a house. That just crazy.

I call this volcano chicken very hot spicy chicken rice bean sprouts and water melon salad wrap in lettuce leaf dip in your favourite sauce. The watermelon is just amazing as it erupts in your mouth.
