Keen travellers, Chris, Raef, Alex, Jim, Benny, Tom and Aleksey explored the interwebs looking for great travel apps but we never found quite what we were looking for. Apps we found were out of date, poorly written, badly designed, too expensive, didn’t work offline, didn’t work, period – ugh! So in our audacious way, we simply decided to make our own! But we didn’t want to make just any old Apps
- we wanted to create the world’s best travel companions! And we think we may have done just that. Appy Travels apps are:
- Free as a bird, not expensive like departure tax
- Cover lots and lots of destinations, even the special small ones
- Constantly updated by fellow travellers to keep the info fresh, not stale like a mountain hikers underpants
- Perfect for finding great travellers deals, wherever you are
- Able to work offline, including the maps - and we know that’s a big one.
- Social and interactive using Twitter to help all travellers connect
- Packed with useful features including local Weather, Gallery, Video, Phrase Book and Currency Converter.
- What’s more, our apps are really easy to use. All the info in an Appy Travels app has its place, perfectly pressed and folded like the suitcase contents of an overachieving businessperson on holiday. It has taken us about a year to get here, but now we’re on our way.
