So, your sunscreen doesn't have an expiry date (yes, they do expire) and you're not sure if it's still ok 😬
Here's how to can tell:
👎All sunscreen has an estimated life span of 3 years, so if you suspect yours is around that or older, it's a good idea to bin it.
👎 If it's lumpy, chunky, watery, or if the consistency looks and feels a little odd, best to bin it.
👎If it's a strange colour, most likely yellow, it's past it's point of no return so bin it.
👎If it smells a little strange, it's time to bin it.
If you use sunscreen that's well and truley past it's used by date, it's like wearing no sunscreen at all. It's therefore important to check.

Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) are the most commonly diagnosed skin cancer in Australia. Thankfully however, they are also one of the most easily treated.
BCC develop in the outer layer of the skin. They tend to grow slowly and in almost all cases, never metastasis.
This isn't to say treatment should be ignored. If left untreated, they can lead to pain and unsightly wounds.

Which sunscreen should you buy - Just Skin Treatment Clinic
Sunscreen labels can be confusing...what is the best SPF and what about using a spray over a gel or a lotion. Arrggggg 😅
Here is a basic guide of what you should look for.
💙 Broad spectrum sunscreen - this means you are being protected from both UVA & UVB rays.
💙 SPF 30 or more - there isn't a lot of difference between SPF 30 or 50 so whichever you choose, make sure you reapply at least every 2hrs, or more if sweating and swimming.
💙 Water resistant - no sunscreen is completely waterproof, but some may suggest they are water or sweat resistant and provide a time period - either 40 or 80 mins. The higher the better but as mentioned in the last point, regardless, make sure you reapply regularly.
💙 Gel, spray or lotion - it doesn't really matter and comes down to personal preference. If using a spray, however, use it liberally and be sure to cover all areas well.
