Natural Focus General Manager Anne-Marie Zambelli was recently in India’s Corbett National Park, where as he witnessed this memorable tiger sighting.

“We encountered three gorgeous six-month-old tiger cubs that entertained us for half an hour as they played in and around a thickly forested waterhole. Surprisingly, the siblings were very relaxed and rather curious; we suspected their mother was off hunting and no doubt would return before dark. This was simply wildlife viewing at its best….and I was privileged to be part of it”.

If you enjoy wildlife and have ever wanted to see a tiger in the wild, join Annie on our annual Taj Temples & Tigers Tour in February 2025. This 18-day trip visits 3 of India’s national parks for tiger viewing and includes 11 guided tiger safaris in Bandhavgarh, Ranthambore and Kanha. There is also the opportunity to experience the historic treasures of Delhi, Jaipur and visit the Taj Mahal. For more information, please click the link in our bio.

Yesterday was ! The fastest land mammal on earth, cheetahs can reach speeds of 120km/h for short bursts - A magnificent sight to behold. Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the best places to see these beautiful cats. Sadly these cats are listed as vulnerable on the UN red list, as they not only face challenges due to habitat loss, but also threats from other big cats such as lions and leopards.

THE SNOW LEOPARD: Elegant, powerful and captivating. The snow leopard is one of the world’s most elusive cats found sparsely in only 12 countries in central Asia and usually found in high, rugged mountain landscapes at elevations of 3,000 – 4,500m. Like a lot of animals their numbers are decreasing due to loss and fragmentation, climate change, human wildlife conflict and Illegal wildlife trade.

Company founders Steve & Sara Cameron have just spent a week cruising the beautiful Canal Du Midi in Southern France. This is what they had to say:
“Cruising onboard a hotel barge in this area was everything we had hoped for. With just 8 guests and 5 crew, it was both luxurious and informal. The meals created by the onboard chef were exceptional, while our tour of the walled city of Carcassonne was superb. Throughout the week we enjoyed daily excursions to small villages, artisans and even went on a truffle hunt. We relaxed on deck as the pilot navigated the canal, and also walked and cycled along the tow path. There can’t be many better way to experience rural France!”

Tuesday marked !

One of Africa’s most iconic species, zebras face many of the same challenges that many other animals face worldwide, first and foremost habitat loss. Each year over 250,000 zebra migrate across the plains of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park as they have done for millennia.

Much like our fingerprints, these beautiful animals all have individual stripe markings, which help them standout within the group.

Yesterday was a day to help raise awareness of animals and improve welfare standards around the world. Through this awareness, as well as continued education, animals are increasingly recognised as sentient beings, and there is a need to protect and nurture the environments they live in.

Yesterday was as well as ! African Wild Dogs (also known as Cape hunting dogs and painted wolves) are an exciting species to see when out on safari. There is never a dull moment when you come across these animals, who are always on the move. The best places to see these dogs is in Southern African countries including Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Happy !Perhaps the most iconic African species, lions are powerful and majestic animals, and an absolute privilege to see when out on safari. When sitting a few metres from a pride or a big male, you can feel a sense of awe, and your body tingles - particularly if they let out an almighty roar!

It is vital to mention however that these beautiful cats, like many other species, are facing greater challenges that ever before. These challenges include human-wildlife conflict, habitat loss, climate change and wildlife trade. Sadly, as a result, there are fewer than 23,000 individuals left in the wild.

So, as much as today is a day to celebrate lions, it is also a day to point out the challenges they face, and the need to continually help and support conservation efforts.

Today we celebrate ! Celebrating one of the world’s most iconic species. Synonymous with India, tigers have also been seen across 13 countries, including Nepal, China and Bhutan.

The species are currently listed as endangered, but with increased conservation efforts, it is thought that their numbers are once again on the rise. Natural Focus has organised a small group tour to India to see these magnificent cats, departing in February 2023. For further information, click the link in our bio!
