This morning I'm flying north to beautiful Cairns for our annual Travel Managers conference.

This year's theme is Working Smarter.

The travel industry is bigger and busier then ever which is incredible. To keep up with the growing demand we will focus our conference on building our business and working smarter.

This year, I’m honoured to be asked to speak amongst some amazing inspirational speakers - including THE Cathy Freeman! I'm still pinching myself.

We will be also be attending educational workshops, and a trade show featuring over 80 stalls filled with wholesalers, airlines, cruise companies, insurance and hotel groups.

It's a great opportunity to be able to connect and talk to like minded representatives in the travel industry and get product updates.

Thursday we head to Green Island on a private charter where we get to go snorkelling and enjoy the sunshine. *fingers crossed* i see a turtle!

Saturday night we will have our Gala dinner and Annual awards.

Its a jam packed few days. Stay tuned for updates throughout and I can't wait to share exciting developments and updates with you!

In recent flights, my new obsession is ear plugs and an eye mask for long haul flights - I am a bit late to the party on this one, but they have been a game changer for me!

Always packing snacks, my own water bottle, a power bank, and a wide scarf that can act as a blanket too

NTIA recognises and rewards excellence in the Australian travel industry, through a process which includes nominating, voting and judging candidates, culminating in the announcement of the winners at a Gala Awards Dinner.

I have been nominated in Category 1 - Most Outstanding Mobile / Home Based Travel Advisor

This award recognises the mobile / home based travel advisor who displayed outstanding conduct in providing impeccable customer support services.

Seeing the list of Nominees, I am in the presence of some of our industries very best, and I am humbled to be alongside these incredible women and friends.
