Here we are people! What we have been waiting for - the excellent FASTER MASTERS Program for the winter!

NOW BOOKING! WINTER 2019 XC (Cross Country) SKIING TECHNIQUE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS HERE:

FASTER MASTERS - LEVEL B
This is a 5 week Program for Skate Skiers of Lower- Mid Intermediate level. The Program will aim to arm you with all the techniques to enable you to progress beyond the first and second gears, in order to improve efficiency and to make Skating more enjoyable! Firstly, we will work on perfecting your Off-set Skating technique (your second gear) and then progressing to third, fourth & fifth gears. We will also cover down-hill and cornering techniques. Each session is 2 hours duration with a short break if needed.

Times and Dates:
Fridays 11am: July 12, 19, 26, August 2, 9 or,
Sundays 12.30pm: July 14, 21, 28, August 4, 11.

FASTER MASTERS - LEVEL A
This is a 5 week Program for Skate Skiers of High Intermediate to Advanced level. The aims will be to improve your efficiency of your Five gears in Skating Technique in order to improve efficiency and therefore speed. We will also work on improving up-hill, down-hill and cornering techniques. For those interested in having a goal to compete in a XC Skating race, it is possible to cover race technique and race preparation, such as waxing and training for a race, to fulfill this goal. Each session is 2 hours duration with a short break if needed.

Times and Dates:
Wednesdays 11am: July 10, 17, 24 31, August 7.

FASTER MASTER BEGINNER
This is a 5 week program for those wanting to learn to XC Ski. You will start learning Classic Technique on Classic Skis to develop manouvering and balance skills on skis. Then we will progress to learn the Diagonal Stride Technique which is the technique used to get yourselves around the groomed XC trails in Perisher. Depending on progress, we will move onto the higher Classic Technique gears or there is the option to try your hand at Skate Skiing. The sessions are 2 hours each with a short break in the middle.

Times and Dates:
Monday 10am: July 8, 15, 22, 29 August 5, or
Saturday 9.30am: July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10.

COST OF PROGRAMS:
Total cost of the 5 week programs is $300. It will be necessary to book and pay the full fee up-front in order to secure your place before the programs' starting date.

The programs will only proceed contingent upon a minimum of 2 participants having booked.
If there is insufficient snow cover on the Perisher Nordic trails at the advertised commencement date of the programme, the programme will be post-poned until such time as there is sufficient snow.
