“You should hire bikes if you’re in the area! We cycled up the the 4 winery’s, then the oyster farm, then back along nine mile beach. We had the best time.
John is super friendly and helpful and the bikes are in really good nick. Couldn’t recommend more!”

I founded, created, Sally’s Ride many years ago. I love cycling, it’s so good for physical and mental health wellbeing. I do this for the mental health of all Tassie kids. I feel humbled and extremely proud that it was the 21st year today since I first cycled around Tasmania to raise awareness and funds to support our youth.
Now my husband and I run cycling tours in very small groups of 2-8 ( sometimes more ) to promote health and showcase the special place we live in. So today was amazing. I joined in and cycled and feel blessed.

One of those quintessential Tasmanian homes on the East Coast that just happens to be located on vineyards that produce some of the best wine in Tasmania.

I remember going to Tassie for a bike trip (that’s a whole other story for another day 🙈), and we met the lovely Sally from who was about to launch her business of cycling through the vineyards located on the east coast of Tasmania. We were her first group through, and it was an incredible experience in huge part due to Sally and her passion for Tasmania and cycling.

We cycled our way to and met owners Glenn and Alex who were in the early stages of their business and had the most wonderful vision for the future of their vineyard. I went back up there a couple of times during my three years living in Tassie and it was an absolute pleasure to watch their vineyard grow.

They now have a cellar door, patisserie, tastings, wine and food in the vines and vineyard tours and my goodness if you’re in Tassie I would highly recommend stopping by.

I look forward to getting back there again soon for another cycling adventure through the vines and another visit to this wonderful vineyard.
