This groovy little creature is a Himalayan Monal. A type of pheasant and often encountered by trekkers in Bhutan. BTW, Bhutan has reduced its arrival quarantine from 14 days to 5 days from 25APR. We anxiously are awaiting a 0 quarantine announcement, hopefully by early May.

Bhutan's flag is a cracker. The Bhutanese PM announced last Friday that all adults had received their COVID booster shot and all children between 5 and 11 would be double vaxxed by mid-April. That's a tremendous achievement and we anticipate a border reopening strategy to follow soon after. Bring it on!
