The biggest and best yet! 🚀

With close to 1,100 delegates and 101 exhibitors, the 14th Australian Space Forum was held yesterday at the Adelaide Convention Centre and offered an incredible insight into our rapidly growing Australian Space Sector.

We were too busy to take many photos but we managed to snap this photo of a rocket on the plaza!

Today the 13th Australian Space Forum was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Over 900 delegates registered and 70+ booths making this the largest Australian Space Forum on record!

We pinch ourselves everyday for having the privilege to work on this amazing event with a team of incredible people.

We love being involved in the South Australian Space Industry. What a ride 🚀 !!

In 4 short years, South Australia's space industry has skyrocketed.

Around 1,600 space jobs have now been created in SA.

We have local satellite manufacturing capabilities and SA is home to the Australian Space Agency.

Today's announcement of a $65 million funding boost into the space sector from the Federal Government is just more good news for our state.

It will drive jobs and investment in cutting edge technologies.

Fostering jobs in new, high-tech industries is part of our plan to build a stronger future for South Australia.

Next step, another Australian Astronaut in space!

The Andy Thomas Space Foundation and the Edorado Amaldi Foundation have today opened registrations to the free Italo-Australian Workshop on Earth Observation (EO) for Space Startups on Monday 31st of January 2022 🛰️

This event, supported by SmartSat CRC & Aurora, will feature distinguished Australian and Italian EO expertise. With an incredible panel lined up, this event will offer startups an insight into how these space-based applications are helping the world to be more sustainable, whilst improving economic competitiveness and efficiency.

Earth observation and remote sensing are enhancing scientific understanding of water cycles, air quality, forests and other aspects of the natural environment. These ‘new’ applications involve private companies, universities and research organisations. Startup businesses are also being established in this sector in order to develop and commercialise exciting and innovative products and services.

This bilateral workshop will provide an update on space applications startup projects in Italy and Australia and will explore new opportunities for international collaboration in activities such as environmental monitoring and action and sustainable resource management and conservation.
