QANTAS ANNOUNCES NEW PARIS ROUTE
Non-stop flights from Perth to the French capital to debut in July 2024. Qantas has just announced a new direct service between Australia and Europe, with year-round Perth-Paris flights set to take off in July next year.

The 17-hour route will initially operate four days per week over the summer European peak season, moving to three weekly flights from mid-August 2024.

Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson said the move followed the success of QF's non-stop Perth flights to London and Rome, with the new route seeing QF return to Paris for the first time in almost 20 years.

TIckets go on sale today, with Hudson noting that some of the first customers on the flights will be Australian athletes heading to Paris to compete at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games.

SURPRISE SURPRISE We have another QANTAS fare increase. As if fares aren't already through the roof the below advice has just been received by travel agents. If you intend travelling, particularly for Christmas I recommend you make all reservations NOW.

The increase will vary by route and cabin but averages out to 3.5 per cent across the QF network.

Adjusted fares will be effective for sale and travel from Friday 27 October 2023. Bookings at the current rates must be ticketed on or before Thursday 26 October 2023.

As we get ready to welcome December and the festive season what an amazing November I had for making friend's and client's dreams come true. I booked destinations I never dreamed of however more rewarding than that I continue to say thank you to the wonderful support and loyalty to you, my beautiful clients and friends. To be able to assist you cross off destinations from your bucket list has brought me nothing but delight and perhaps a certain amount of jealousy!!

Seats are very difficult to come by but fortunately I have been lucky to find seats to make everyone happy. Great prices, expert advice from many years selling travel (too many to mention)and the challenge to please. THANK YOU.

Travel in 2022 has been amazing for agents. It is overwhelming to see how many travellers out there have chosen to return to the travel agent for their bookings. So much confidence since COVID has been installed into agents it is absolutely fantastic. We are still seeing the odd traveller thinking they can do it all themselves and some of them have organised their travel successfully - this time - however a little knowledge in the travel industry can be quite alarming. Some think its so easy to just jump on a flight, jump on a ship, jump on a train or whatever until the worst happens.

So to those travellers who have been so supportive of all the travel agents out there I thank you.

There are so many travellers internationally right now it has been difficult to obtain seats for 2023 already. We had our first unbelievable early bird fares sale for 2023 during September and it was a huge sell out. Thank you Singapore Airlines we had a lot of very happy customers. We have also had a lot of calls from those JETSTAR stranded passengers who booked themselves asking us for help. No comment on this.......

I have personally been so busy I have had no time to send a newsletter or update my social media pages but I now have found some breathing space so 'I am back'.........almost 50 years in the travel industry and come December 40 years of Lets Travel.
